Day 4 of the 12 days of stitchmas.

Day 4 brings this gorgeous stitched Noel card featuring an ornament for the O. I love the font and these colors work beautifully with it. I wish that the embossing showed up better for you.

STEPS TO CREATE THE GORGEOUS STITCHED NOEL

  • Emboss a piece of medium blue cardstock with a nice embossing folder
  • Trim the embossed panel to 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Fasten the embossed panel to a white A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) card base using a tape runner
  • Die-cut “Noel” from dark blue cardstock
  • Use brushed silver cardstock to die-cut one Noel shadow
  • Die-cut the center of the “O” in “Noel” from brushed silver cardstock
  • Use white cardstock to die-cut three Noel shadows
  • Die-cut the ornament top from silver mirror cardstock
  • Using a size 22 tapestry needle, stitch the center of the “O” with silver metallic thread beginning from the back to the front in the center. Fasten the end of the thread at the back with liquid glue.
  • And then, send the needle down from the front to the back in one of the holes on the outside.
  • Repeat until you have stitches in all of the outside holes.
  • Fasten thread to the back with liquid glue and snip the extra thread off.
  • Layer the shadows together with the brushed silver one on top using liquid glue.
  • Use liquid glue to attach the “Noel” centered on the shadows
  • Apply glue around the edge of the center of the “O” and in the center and then inlay the stitched piece. HINT: you may need to hold the stitched piece in place while the glue dries to deep it from popping up.
  • Fasten the little ornament top at the top of the “O” slightly overlapping the navy letter O.
