Handmade Copperplate Thank You card with die-cut flowers on it.

Floral Copperplate Thank You Card

Although it may not appear like it, this card is pretty quick and easy to put together.

To begin with, we're going to lightly blend Tumbled Glass onto an A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) of Porcelain cotton cardstock.

And then, we'll go ahead and press the Copperplate Thank you on porcelain cotton cardstock with Cosmic Sky BetterPress ink.  This will create the foundation for our card.

Die-cutting For The Floral Copperplate Thank You Card

The die-cut flowers on this card really bring the card to life.  To create a card like the one in the photo, please use the following guide and the Be Bold Blooms Die Set to die-cut as follows:

I find that it makes working with these tiny pieces to be much easier when I use and embellishment tool and a reverse tweezers.  Now, you can use liquid glue to layer the flower center fronts on the backers.  And then, go ahead and fasten one to each of the large flowers.

Floral Copperplate Thank You Card Assembly

Trim the Thank You panel to 3.5″ x 4.75″ making sure that the design is even on the sides.  I like to use a rectangle die to do this to be sure to cut it squarely.  Next, we'll trim an accent panel from Snowdrift cardstock to 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ and I also use a rectangle die for this one.  After that, we'll fasten the panel in the center on the card base using a tape runner.

Next, let's make an A2 cardbase from heavy white cardstock.  Go to  HOW TO MAKE A CARD BASE for tips on how to do so.  Now, we'll trim a piece of Indigo cardstock to A2 size and fasten it to the card base.  I don't know about you, but I struggle to get my color panels straight on the card base.  However, now I have a new technique that helps.  Click HEHOW TO ATTACH A COLOR PANEL ONTO A CARD BASE if you'd like to try it.

Finishing

All that is left is to fasten the Thank You panel centered on the card base and then pop up the flowers with different thicknesses of foam squares.  I used 1mm and 2mm and I even stacked the 2mm for the white flower.
