Advent Day 15 & 16: Hello Card

This hello card is a kind of a blast from the past. It reminds me of the hippy days with the fun font from Days 15 and 16. That was my immediate thought when I pulled the hello die and shadow out from behind the Day 16.

I think it works well with the geometric mini-embossing folder from Day 15.

We end up with a bright clean and simple card with reminders of some fun times in the past.

Steps to Create the Hello Card

  • Put an A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) piece of yellow cardstock inside the embossing folder that came from behind Day 15 and run it through your die-cutting and embossing machine
  • Color inside the pretty design created by the embossing folder with colored pencils. We do so to draw your eyes to it.
  • Trim the panel to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and fasten it to a white card base with a piece of double-sided adhesive
  • Die-cut hello from bright red cardstock and four of the hello shadows from orange
  • Layer the shadows together with liquid glue
  • Fasten the sentiment to the card front using liquid glue
