Advent Calendar Day 12 – Strawberry Bunch

A handmade greeting card with a strawberry bunch on it.

This darling card featuring a strawberry bunch was created with the die set from Day 12 of Spellbinders Crafty Advent Calendar.

A card with a strawberry bunch on it.

This card doesn’t have a sentiment on it because It’s so pretty that it doesn’t need one. This way you can use it for any occasion. And then you can write something in reference to the occasion on the inside.

Steps To Create The Strawberry Bunch Card

  • Create a medium brown A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) card base.
  • Lightly swipe a pink ink pad across a white A2 card panel in both directions, then do the same with light green ink
  • Die-cut the inked card panel with the middle fluted rectangle die
  • Pop up the inked panel on the card base with foam tape
  • Die-cut images as follows:
  • Lightly blend red ink around the lower edges of the strawberries to give them shadows
  • Use a white gel pen to add some light above a couple of the seeds on each strawberry
  • Add shading and light to leaves and flowers with colored pencils
  • Assemble the flowers, strawberries, leaves, and stems together using liquid glue
  • Fasten the leaves directly to the card panel using liquid glue
  • Pop up flowers and strawberries at different heights with foam squares
