How To Make Triple Stencil Gift Tags

Triple Stencil Gift Tags are a gorgeous addition to sweet treats.

The triple stencil gift tags that I use for the sweets for my neighbors are quick and easy to make.

The inspiration for them is from a video that @GinaKrupsky did in one of her 5-minute videos. You will find a link to it later in this article. And, all the products that we will use for the tags are from Gina K Designs.

Stenciling for the Triple Stencil Gift Tags

To create these tags, you start with white cardstock. I use a half sheet (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) of smooth heavyweight cardstock. The best cardstock for this is Gina K’s white heavyweight. But, if that isn’t available you can use Neenah Classic Crest 110lb Solar White.

Next, using the Snowflake Mandala Stencil and a large blending brush, add Light Spruce ink using circular motions all around the outside edge of the stencil. Following that, we’ll use Medium Spruce ink making sure to leave the center of the snowflake untouched. You can vary how the tag will look by where you add the wreath to the cardstock. I like to do some right in the center and then some right at the top of the cardstock.

Now, we’ll use the Graceful Snowflake Stencil. You will notice that this stencil aligns perfectly with the Mandala. Use the outermost “droplets” on each stencil to line them up just right. And then, we’ll use Medium Spruce ink again just around the outside of the snowflake leaving the center white.

Finally, we’ll use the Fizzy Stencil for the ornaments. I like to use mini-blending brushes for them because I like to avoid the largest circles. And, I like to add them so there is green on both sides all the way around. We do this with Red Hot ink.

Finishing

I like to die-cut the tags out next. Therefore, the shape of the tag and where the design is on it will help to determine where to put the sentiment. We’ll use the largest die in the Tag Trio die set. And, you can get two tags from each wreath if you place one side of the tag die right in the center of the wreath. And then, you turn the tag die upside down for the second one.

If you were lucky enough to get the Sparkling Season stamp set from Gina K Designs and Simon Says Stamp during Stamptember, it has some beautiful sentiments on it. And that is what I use for my tags. But, if you don’t have it you could use the one in Scripty Holiday Mini. It has a beautiful font and you could mask off some of the “tails” if you want.

I am a lousy stamper, so I always use s stamp positioning tool just to make sure that I get a good crisp image. I use the new one called the Stencil and Stamp Tool from Sizzix because it does such a beautiful job for me. And, I use Obsidian Amalgam ink.

And then, the last thing to do is to add a little piece of white twine to finish off the tag
