How about a gift box with some bling? That’s what we’re making today with our toys from Stitchmas Day 6 and Day 11 of the Crafty Advent Calendar!
This is my version of clean and simple. The design of the gift box which is the Day 6 of 14 days of Stitching treat is darling. And, the sweeping ribbon gives it a whimsical feel. The card also includes one of the sentiments that comes with Day 11 of Spellbinders Crafty Advent Calendar.
And, I always say that if it’s got sparkle and or sheen what else do you need? Between the brushed gold sentiment and frame and the gold metallic decorations on the gift box there is plenty!
Steps To Create The Gift Card
- Die-cut as follows:
- Gift box and lid – Fern
- Bow, and sentiment backer – Pomegranate
- Sentiment and gold accent panel – Brushed Gold
- Emboss an A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) piece of white cardstock with the Vintage Ornaments embossing folder
- Spray the embossed panel with shimmer spray
- Stitch the gift box with gold metallic thread
- Assemble the gift box, ribbon, and sentiment with liquid glue
- Trim a piece of red cardstock to just smaller than the brushed gold panel die-cut
- Attach the red panel to the back of the brushed gold panel with liquid glue
- Attach the red and gold panel to a white A2 size card base with a tape runner
- Trim the embossed panel to fit inside the hemstitching and attach it to the card with a tape runner
- Attach the gift box directly to the embossed panel with liquid glue
- Pop up the sentiment with foam squares
