Altenew Layered Poinsettia Cards

This card is very similar to the first one in this article. But with this card, we used a layered stamp set from Altenew called Build-A-Flower Poinsettia and we used different colors with one of the poinsettias.

The stamping, stenciling, and die cutting are all done the same way. So, what we do next is adhere the stenciled card panel to the card base. Then we arrange the flowers with the darker one in the back. We do this because we want the focal point to look like poinsettias in real life.

Once we’ve got them the way we want them we fasten them together using an adhesive dot runner.

And now, well arrange it on the card panel making sure that we leave space for the sentiment. We’ll stamp the sentiment right onto the card panel. And then use the glue runner to fasten the flowers.

Poinsettia Cards with Shaker

Isn’t this shaker card pretty? You can make it too! Learn how here:

Clean and Simple Poinsettia Cards

The last of our poinsettia cards has a clean and simple design.

We’re using another layered stamp set by Altenew called Poinsettia and Pine.

We’ll use the same technique to layer the stamps that we used for the first two cards. But this time, we’re going to use the stamp positioner tool in order to evenly stamp the flowers in opposite corners.

Beginning with the first layer, the outline, we’ll set up and stamp the outline in the lower lefthand corner of a white A2 card panel. Then before we move on to our next layer we’ll turn the card panel 180 degrees and then stamp the outline again. Now we’ll just add the rest of the layers using a darker color for each.

Next, we’ll heat emboss the sentiment directly onto the card panel. We don’t want to forget to brush on some anti-static powder before we stamp the sentiment with watermark ink. Then we’ll sprinkle the embossing powder over the top.

When we’re done we’ll give the card panel a tap to dislodge any stray embossing powder. And then we’ll heat it using a heat tool until the sentiment is melted and smooth.

Now all that is left is to attach the card panel to the card base. We do that with adhesive dot runner.

And, just to add some glam we’ll add some gold glitter glue to the center of each flower.
