We use another beautiful BetterPress Plate to create 2 Christmas cards in this article. Come along and check it out with us.
Playing with these plates is always so fun! I use the Plate from the monthly kit, Continued Joy, from Spellbinders’ October 23rd Monthly Club release for my projects today. There is a video that details step-by-step how to achieve similar results to what I have in these two projects.
Enjoy the video.

I watercolor with watercolor brush markers on the first one. I love the results when the ink blooms when you paint with watercolors. So, the plan for this card is to make watercolor blooms an integral part of the design. You have to work quickly and be careful that you don’t use too much water because the cotton cardstock is very porous and isn’t made to watercolor with.
And then, we will use a white gel pen to brighten it up a little.

And, for the second one, we do some whimsical coloring with alcohol markers. If I had to do this one all over again I would add some more red to it. And then, we will use glitter to add some sparkle and shine. Unfortunately, the camera doesn’t pick up just how beautiful the glitter makes this card. It really does look like snow is sitting on the tops of Christmas and Joy.
I hope these cards encourage you to experiment with your BetterPress plates and the stash you have in your craft room!
