If you’re a member of any of the Spellbinders Clubs of the Month, you already know that exciting feeling when your kit arrives in the mail. This month’s March 26 Club Kits are no exception—they’re packed with incredible tools that make card making so much fun. From shimmering foil finishes to deep, sculptural textures, these kits open up a world of creative possibilities.
In this post, I’m sharing three cards I made using three different March 26 Club Kits: the Press & Foil, the 3D Embossing Folder, and the Large Die and Stencil. Each card uses a different technique, so there’s something here for every card maker. Let’s get crafting!
Card 1: Press & Foil March 26 Club Kits Card

The Press & Foil of the Month Membership is one of my absolute favorites. This month’s “Greetings Maker” plate is stunning. It works with both the BetterPress Letterpress System and the Glimmer Hot Foil System, which means you have two gorgeous options right out of the box. For this card, I used the hot foil technique to create a gleaming, eye-catching design that looks like it came straight from a boutique stationery shop.
How to Make the Press & Foil March 26 Club Kits Card
- Prepare your base card. Start with an A2-sized card base in a classic white or ivory cardstock. This gives the foil finish a clean backdrop to really shine.
- Set up your Glimmer Hot Foil System. Place “Happy” from the “Greetings Maker” plate into the machine according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Choose your foil. For this card, I went with a silvery iridescent foil, prism, which was included in the kit. Position a piece of the foil face down over your press & foil plate. Place a piece of breeze cardstock over the top and the rest of the sandwich and run it through the machine.
- Repeat with the “Birthday” plate and saffron cardstock and “To You” with peridot cardstock
- Admire the results! Once the foil has cooled, gently peel it back to reveal a crisp, shimmering impression. The detail on this plate is incredible.
- Use the floral elements from the large die of the month, “Classic Kicks,” in coordinating colors to die-cut a pretty bouquet.
- Layer and assemble. If you didn’t begin with strips, go ahead and trim the sentiments to create large strips. Arrange them on your card front however you want, and fasten them down with liquid glue. Create a pretty flower arrangement to the side and attach the elements with liquid glue and foam squares,.

Card 2: 3D Embossing Folder March 26 Club Kits Card

If you haven’t tried the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month yet, this month is a great time to start. The “Urban Grid” folder creates a bold, geometric texture that adds serious dimension to any card front. Unlike a standard 2D embossing folder, the 3D version shapes and sculpts the paper in a way that looks almost architectural. It’s a showstopper on its own, but paired with the right colors and embellishments, it truly comes to life.
The inspiration for this card is the view of the Earth from an airplane.
How to Make the 3D Embossing Folder March 26 Club Kits Card
- Cut your cardstock panel. Cut a piece of cardstock to approximately 5.50 x 8.50 inches. The “Urban Grid” folder accommodates a variety of sizes and works perfectly for a standard A2 card, but today we’re using most of the design so we’re making a 5 x 7 card.
- Build your embossing sandwich. Place the Platform Base at the bottom, add the 3D Embossing Folder with your cardstock inside, and top with the Adapter Plate. This layered sandwich is key to getting that deep, crisp impression.
- Run it through your machine. Roll the sandwich through your Spellbinders Platinum Machine (or other compatible machine with a Universal Plate System).
- Use a combination of your green Inks to watercolor the sections of land created by the embossed panel. This is where the magic really happens! Use a water brush and your favorite ink colors to sweep lightly over the raised texture. The ink catches the high points and leaves the recessed areas lighter, making the geometric pattern pop beautifully. Don’t forget to paint the river in a rich water blue.
- Assemble the card. Adhere the finished panel to your card base. with a piece of foam sheet or strips. Add a heat-embossed and die-cut sentiment or a stamped greeting from “Good Times”, the clear stamp and die set of the month to complete the look.

Card 3: Large Die and Stencil March 26 Club Kits Card

The Large Die of the Month is always one of the most versatile kits, and March’s “Classic Kicks” set is no different. These dies cut, emboss, deboss, and stencil—giving you four techniques in one set. For this card, I combined the die-cut shapes with the stencil of the month to create a layered, textured look that’s perfect for a fun, casual card.
How to Make the Large Die and Stencil March 26 Club Kit Card
- Create your stenciled background. Fasten an A2 piece of white cardstock to a sticky mat and place the first stencil layer over the top of it using the registration lines for placement. Apply ink or paste over the open areas using a blending brush or palette knife. Lift carefully to reveal your design. Repeat with the remaining layers, taking care to line up the stencil with your design and changing ink color for each layer. The result is a soft, patterned background that will make the die-cut focal element pop.
- Die-cut your focal shapes. Run colors of cardstock through your die cutting machine using the “Classic Kicks” dies. These wafer-thin dies work with most standard manual machines, so no special setup is needed. You can even make the beer bottle more realistic by die-cutting it from acrylic.
- Color or embellish your die cuts. Use markers, ink blending, or watercolor to add color or dimension to the die-cut shapes. You can keep it simple or add shading for a more polished result. I ink-blend the shoe ties and soles, the bratwurst and the grill utensils to create some shading, and I add the Budweiser labels on the beer for fun.
- Assemble the card. Adhere the stenciled background panel to your card base after trimming it to 4 x 5.25 inches. Layer the die-cut shapes on top, using foam adhesive for added dimension. Position them to create a balanced, visually appealing layout.
- Add a sentiment. Finish with a heat-embossed, stamped, or die-cut greeting that ties the card together.
