Press Your Designs
Using the Betterpress of the Month and Wax Seal of the Month kits, you can create a stunning Christmas card and a matching envelope. Start by using the largest registration press plate from the Betterpress kit. The beauty of using Spellbinders’ registration plates is that you can use more than one color on the same design. Press the car design onto a piece of Porcelain heavy-weight cotton cardstock with Azalea ink for a crisp, detailed image. Remove this plate, set the plates for the wheels, and press them with black ink.
Remove the guide and the registration plate and then press the tree with Leaf ink and the sentiment with Strawberry.
Die-cutting, Trim, & Assembly
Go ahead and do your die-cutting once your pressing is complete. To showcase our pretty truck, we’re going to die-cut it with a large oval die. And then, we’ll add some foam strips to the back to pop it up later.
To enhance our snowy scene we’ll use patterned snowflake cardstock. Then, trim it to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and attach it in the center of an A2 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″card base. Pop up the truck oval on top and attach everything else with liquid glue.
Matching Envelope
It’s easy to make a matching envelope for this card. Use a snowflake stencil and an embossing pen on an A2 envelope to create the design. Sprinkle with sparkly white embossing powder and heat emboss it until it’s melted. Blend a coral pink ink that matches the patterned paper over the heat embossing. Be sure to leave the center of the envelope white for the address. Then, se a microfiber cloth to brush any ink resisted by the heat embossing.
Next, melt the wax from the Wax Seal monthly kit and press it with the snowflake seal stamp. When you get ready to send the card you can attach the seal to the envelope with an adhesive circle to ensure that it is attached well. The result is a beautifully coordinated set that’s sure to impress.

Unleash Your Creativity with Glimmer and Stencil of the Month
The Glimmer of the Month and Stencil of the Month kits are all about adding sparkle and texture to your cards. The Glimmer kit includes glimmer plates and foil rolls, perfect for creating shiny accents. The Stencil kit features versatile layering stencils that can be used with various mediums to add depth and dimension.
Create a Card with Glimmer and Stencil
To make this dazzling Christmas card, start with a background created using the Stencil of the Month. Use the layering greenery background design and apply ink with varied pressure through the stencil for a textured effect.
Trim the stenciled piece to 1″ x 5 1/2″ and save the rest for another project. Trim a piece of gold mirror cardstock to 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, and a piece of snowdrift cardstock to A2 size, (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). Attach these three pieces directly onto a 5 1/2″ square card base using liquid glue or a tape runner.
Add Some Glimmer To Your Design
Next, use the Glimmer of the Month kit to create a shiny sentiment and outline for your focal point. Foil it onto a piece of white cardstock and then use the coordinating stencil to color the design using the ink you used for the background . The combination of texture and shine will create a festive and eye-catching design.
Finally, use the coordinating dies to cut out the design. Cut extras so that you can layer up the design. Fasten them to the card front using liquid glue.

The 3D Embossing Folder of the Month and Stencil of the Month kits are perfect for adding dimension and texture to your cards. Create a Card with July 2024 Monthly Embossing and Stencil Kits
We’re making a card that looks like it’s got a big gift on top. To create dimension and texture for the background, start by embossing your colored background panel with the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. The deep, textured design will add a rich background to your card.
Then, use the bow stencil from Stencil of the Month to add a layer of color to an A2 piece of white cardstock. Trim the corners and use a light gray marker to add a shadow around all four edges. Then, add shading and dimension to the bow with colored pencils. This combination of techniques will create a card with depth and interest.
Make a gift tag by heat embossing a sentiment with gold embossing powder. And then trim it with a fancy die, like the notched corner die set. Use a hole punch and add a piece of ephemera that matches your colors. Add some twine to finish the tag.
Use a craft knife to cut a little slit in between the bows, then run the ends of the twine through to the back and fasten them down with a piece of tape. The gift tag should move freely. Trim off any excess twine.
Pop up the “gift” with foam adhesive strips for dimension.
