Well, if you weren’t in the mood to make Easter cards before you will be after taking a look at this set. For example, look how pretty it is with the flowers, the huge basket, and the cute little bunny poking its head in.

This card features Floral Bunny Basket, the large die of the month. And, we’ll use it to die-cut as follows:

You can make all of the elements look a little more realistic by blending a little shading on them with ink that is already on your blending brushes. But, you may need a little extra for the basket. For it, I used Distress Oxide Walnut Stain. Additionally, you can add some shaping by using flower-making tools.

Next, we’ll heat emboss the sentiment with Spellbinders gold embossing powder. For my card, I used “Happy Easter” from Lily Arch, the February 2024 Clear Stamp and Die. Use the coordinating die to cut out the sentiment. Additionally, die-cut three more from snowdrift cardstock. Now, layer the sentiment die-cuts together with liquid glue with the sentiment on top.

Background

There’s one more thing that we need to do before we can start to assemble the card. We going to create the background for the card. To do so, we’ll use Easter Egg Hunt, the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month with white cardstock. Once we have the card panel embossed, we’ll randomly color some of the images with Prismacolor colored pencils.

Bunny In A Basket Assembly

Make a 5″ x 7″ card base by trimming a piece of heavy-weight white cardstock to 10″ by 7″. Once cut, score the cardstock at 5″ along the long side of the card panel. Once the card base is made, trim a piece of pink sand cardstock to 5″ x 7″ and fasten it to the card base with a tape runner.

Trim the embossed panel to 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ and fasten it centered on the card front using double-sided adhesive. After that, arrange the flowers, basket, and bunny on the card front. Once you decide on the location of everything use liquid glue and foam squares to attach them to the card front.

The last thing to do is to attach the sentiment above the basket handle with liquid glue.

And that’s it for our cute Easter card.
