2 Letterpress Greeting Cards With New Spellbinders Release!

2 Letterpress Greeting Cards Using New Let's Celebrate Registration Press Plate with the Celebration Flowers registration plate from the new Spellbinders release.

This month's new Spellbinders release includes a wonderful collection called Let's Celebrate, curated by @Yana.Smakula.

Yana is so talented and this collection is no exception.  For example, it is exquisite, feminine, and flowery.  And, it includes everything from a background press plate to versatile sentiments press plates and delicate peony dies.

The two cards that I have to share with you feature the Celebrate Flowers Registration Press Plate.  Registration plates make it easy to create multi-color letterpress designs.  Additionally, Spellbinders provide a mylar template that have outlines of each of the plates.  Therefore,  all you do is place the first plate within the outlines on the template, add your ink and run through your die-cutting machine.  And then, repeat with a different color on the next plate.

Like Spellbinders says, this clever innovation enhances your letterpress abilities to the next level.

My first card uses the press plates exactly like they are intended to be used.  To demonstrate, I use coral pink ink with the first plate and a lovely teal on the other one.  In addition, the tiny flowers are just big enough to paint or color with markers.  I watercolored with ink on my project.

Die-cutting a pretty scalloped frame around the sentiment really helps to focus the eye on it.  For a supply list and step-by step instructions click HERE.

I put a twist on the second project by using only the sentiment plate.  And to use it, I use metallic gold ink on deep black cardstock to really make it pop.

I also use gold foil patterned paper for the background.  And then I use foam tape to add dimension to the panel.  The gold in the patterned paper really helps to punch out the sentiment.   Step-by-Step instructions and a Supply List can be found HERE.
