The August Clear Stamp of the Month from Spellbinders is a large gorgeous, whimsical floral stamp with a coordinating die. I’ve created two cards with it and am excited to share them with you.

My first project features Spellbinders Clear Stamp and Die of the Month, Happy Hello Floral. To create it I heat emboss the image in gold onto white blending cardstock. But, to color it, I blend it with several Distress Oxide inks.
And then, I will also heat emboss the sentiment in gold. But, I do so on vellum and then pop it up with foam strips.
You will find a full list of supplies down below.

For my second project, I’ll heat emboss the floral image and the sentiment with gold on black cardstock.

Next, I’ll use Solar Paste to do our coloring by adding the paste to the locations I want them in – one color at a time. Then, I use a scraper to smooth the paste over the flowers with a scraper (the heat embossing helps to trap the color within the design).
I used the coordinating dies to cut out both the floral image and the sentiment. And finally, I pop up the floral focal point with a foam sheet onto velvety black cardstock to draw the eye to it.
