Spellbinders advent calendar day 2 - 5.

I am sharing projects that I made with Days 2 through 5 of Spellbinders Crafty Advent Calendar in this article.

Crafty Advent Calendar Day 2 – Floral Stamp

Advent Calendar Day 2 is a pretty little floral stamp with the sentiment “sending good thoughts” in a nice font.

A tag with a flower on it on a wooden surface.

This is a stamp that is something that can be used for multiple different occasions throughout the year.

Steps to Create The Tag

  • Heat emboss the floral image and the sentiment on white cardstock with black embossing powder
  • Paint the flowers and leaves with watercolor paints
  • Splatter with black spray
  • Trim panel to 2 1/2″ x 4″
  • Trim bright pink cardstock to 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″
  • Fasten the painted panel to pink cardstock using a tape runner
  • Use a punch to make a hole at the top of the tag
  • Add a piece of ribbon as a tie

Crafty Advent Calendar Day 3 – Decorative Die

A blue and green thank you card on a wooden floor.

Advent Calendar Day 3 is a beautiful, geometric detailed die and a die that cuts one of the long outside edges. This die can be used as a focal point or for decoration any many different types of projects.

Steps to Create The Card

  • Choose three coordinating colors of ink and blend them in horizontal stripes onto a white A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card panel in portrait view (short edges on the top and bottom).
  • Cut the card panel at 2 inches from one of the short ends. You’ll have (1) 2″ x 4 1/4″ piece and (1) 3 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece
  • Die-cut the geometric strip twice from white cardstock
  • Die-cut the two edges created when cutting the blended panel apart with the die that cuts the long outside edge.
  • Using liquid glue, fasten the geometric die-cuts to the two die-cut edges
  • Create a card base by scoring a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of heavy cardstock at 2″ and 7 1/2″ and bend the cardstock at the score lines.
  • Die-cit the two short edges of the card base with the long outside edge die
  • Attach each of the ink-blended panels to the card base with double-sided adhesive.
  • Die cut “Thank You” from white cardstock
  • Attach the sentiment to the card front with liquid glue

Crafty Advent Calendar Day 4 & 5 – Sentiments with Shadow Dies and Dotted Embossing Mini-Folder

Merry christmas card from me to you.

Day 4 is a sentiment and shadow die set and Day 5 is an embossing folder with dots on it. The dies are in a beautiful font and can be used for any occasion. And, the embossing folder is a basic geometric that can be used in many ways also.

Steps to Create The Card

  • Place an A2 size piece of light green cardstock in the embossing folder and run it through a die-cutting and embossing folder.
  • Rub a dark green ink pad across the embossed dots on card panel.
  • Trim the card panel to 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Die-cut shadows for Merry Christmas, from, me, to, and you from white cardstock
  • Die-cut sentiments for Merry Christmas, from, me, to, and you from bright red cardstock
  • Attach the sentiments to the shadows with liquid glue
  • Attach the card panel to an A2 card base with a tape runner.
