Today’s feature products are from the Serenade of Autumn Collection at Spellbinders. And, I’ve got six cards to share with you.
Sunflower Bouquet Happy Birthday Card
For my first project, I used the Sunflower Bouquet Betterpress plate. However, I use watermark ink when pressing it instead of BetterPress ink so that I can heat emboss it with black. I do this because I use liquid watercolor paints to do my coloring.
And, I use one of the pretty patterned papers from the Serenade of Autumn 6″ x 6″ Paper Pad to provide an accent color. And, I use a pretty sentiment in my stash that I previously made using Fancy Sentiment Strips. I love this press plate and die set because it creates eight elegant sentiments at once. And, the coordinating die cuts them in a beautiful banner.
This is a 5″ x 7″ card.

Serenade Sunflower Border Two For Once Cards
The next two projects use the Sunflower Border Press Plate. And it is so big that you can create two cards with the image that you press. Or, it would also make a lovely slimline card.
I used black heat embossing and watercolors again for this project because the detail that this plate has is fabulous. And I want to enhance the contrast between the bright colors and the black.

And, to add even more color I splatter the same colors over the top. Then, I used gold watercolor paint to add detail to the centers of the sunflowers and to splatter as well.
To finalize the cards I fancy-cut apart the image about halfway. And then I also fancy-cut around the images on each piece. I use a beautiful brushed black cardstock background to make the flowers pop. Then I add a bit of dimension by popping up the floral images with a foam sheet. And then I use foam squares to pop up more of the sentiments that I had in my stash.

Serenade Sentiments Cards
The next pair of cards features three products from the collection; the Serenade Sentiments Die set, the Dimensional Autumn Butterfly Stickers, and the Serenade of Autumn 6″ x 6″ Paper Pad.
The technique is the same for both cards. Die-cut the patterned paper second second-largest Noched Corner die. Then die-cut brushed gold cardstock with the fifth-largest die and white cardstock with the next one smaller.
It’s all assembly from there. Use a tape runner to fasten an A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) color accent (if you’re using one) to an A2 card base. Then, center patterned paper die-cut and fasten it also with the tape runner. Tape the white die-cut centered on the gold one and then pop it up with a foam sheet or foam squares.
Die-cut the sentiment from brushed gold and fasten it to the card front with liquid glue. And then fasten the pretty little butterfly stick of your choice.
Gold Sunflower Bouquet
For the last project, we’re going to press the Sunflower Bouquet Betterpress plate and brushed gold cardstock without any ink. The result is absolutely beautiful. And you can stop at this point if you want. For my project, I used an alcohol marker and colored pencil to accent some of the shadows.
And finally, you want to fussy-cut around the entire image.
Then, we’re going to create our own coordinating patterned paper. We’re going to do this by inking up the Sunflower Border Press Plate with a pretty teal ink. Then, we’re going to lay a 5″ x 7″ piece of teal cardstock down on top of it and rub it to get the ink to transfer.
Next, we’ll fasten the patterned paper to a white 5″ x 7″ card base with a tape runner. Then we’ll die-cut a large oval from gray cardstock and pop it up centered on the card with foam. We’ll also pop up the floral image and then add another pretty sentiment from our stash.
