Love You!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here are some quick and easy ideas for valentines for your besties, perfect for letting them know that you love them.
3 Heart Chain Love You Cards
Steps to Make the Cards
- Die-cut heart chains from red cardstock three times
- Die-cut heart chains from hot pink cardstock
- After that, poke all of the hearts out of the die-cut chains with a jewel picker
- Layer the chains together with liquid glue
- Make three white side-folding A2 size card bases (see techniques)
- Place the card base in a stamp positioning tool, position the “love you” stamp on the card front on an angle, and pick it up with the lid of the tool.
- Load the stamp with black ink and then lower the lid to stamp the sentiment on the card base. Restamp until you have a nice, crisp, sentiment stamped on the card front. Repeat two more times for a total of three card bases.
- Use one of the chains as a guide to attach eight of the hearts under the sentiment on one of the cards with liquid glue. Following that, carefully remove the chain so that only the hearts are left on the card.
- Attach the heart chains to the other two card bases making sure that they are parallel with the sentiments on each card using liquid glue
- Attach a large red heart on the card with the pink heart chain. This card is done.
- Next, Add several pink hearts to the red heart chain using the photo as a guide. This card is done.
- Lastly, attach a few of the hearts that are left randomly above the sentiment of the card that we added hearts to previously.

- Make a white side-folding A2 size card base (see techniques)
- Attach the orange card panel to the card base using a tape runner
- Fasten the “love” die-cut on the upper third of the card front with liquid glue.

How To Make An A2 Size Side-Folding Card Base
- Score a half sheet of heavy-weight cardstock at 4 1/4″ along the long side of the cardstock. For example, place your cardstock in a landscape position on your scoring board. HINT: Don’t push it right up against the top. You do this so that your score will be from the top to the bottom. Next, use a bone folder and score your cardstock at 4 1/4″.
- Place one of the long sides on your work surface and carefully pull the two short sides together, bending back from the score.
