How To Make Log Cabin Valentines*
Cute log cabin valentines created with dies, stenciling and coloring with alcohol markers

How cute are these log cabin valentines! It takes a little time to make these. But, it's worth it for your favorite Valentine, isn't it?

You can make this card flat, but you can also make it 3D. Most of the stenciling, coloring, and die-cutting are the same for both cards.

For the flat card, you can create a darling sky by stenciling it with white pigment ink over the blue sky. I like to vary how heavy I'm blending to give the heart clouds some dimension. And, I also lightly blend the white pigment ink on the chimney. And then I use a white gel pen to draw on the grout lines.

In addition, I find that heat embossing the little sign over the door that reads “Wood You Be Mine” with white embossing powder shows up better than stamping with the white pigment ink.

As a result, everything else is pretty straightforward.
