Quick gorgeous card made with gradient colors and stencils.

To make this card we’ll begin with the lightest color of pink and blend it over the first layer of stencil. Next, we’ll blend the medium pink using the second stencil layer. And then you follow with dark pink, light green, and medium green using the third, fourth, and fifth stencil layers.

I just love these new ink colors from Gina K Designs! They work perfectly for this springy birthday card but imagine what they will look like for a poinsettia with some sheen over the top. They are the perfect colors for a Christmas card. I will be making one so keep an eye out for that article!

To add just a little bit of contrasting color we’ll use markers in a couple of shades of yellow in the center of each flower.

Simple Sentiment

We’re going to heat emboss our sentiment to give it some pizzaz. So, we’ll begin by brushing some anti-static powder over a scrap of white cardstock big enough for the sentiment. Next, we’ll stamp the “Happy Birthday” with watermark ink.

And then, we’ll sprinkle black embossing powder over the top and give a tap to remove any unwanted powder. Afterward, we’ll use our heat tool to melt the powder until it’s smooth.

Quick Gorgeous Card Assembly

Now, we trim the card panel to 3 3/4″ x 5″. You can do so with a paper trimmer but I prefer using a die to ensure that the rectangle is square. And then, we trim a piece of black cardstock to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ to give it a nice frame.

Using a glue runner, attach the card panel to the color accent panel. And then attach the whole thing to the card base.

Finally, we’ll trim the sentiment and pop it up on the card with some foam tape.
