My Grandson, Geoffrey, had a birthday a couple of weeks ago. He's a cool guy and it was so fun to design a fun, cool, and interactive card for him. Therefore, today's article is all about Geoffrey and his cool card.

We're using Concord & 9th's Let's Party Turnabout Stamp with their All-In-One Jig and Sorbet, Buttercup, Oceanside, and Blueberry inks to create a colorful patterned paper to use for the background. And then, we're going to use a big pair of cool sunglasses as the star of the show. We'll make them with Concord's Spectacular Shades die set, and we'll step them up a notch by making them flip up to reveal a secret message underneath.

The card as it is is really cool, but what really makes this card fun is the interactive bit. Instead of making the sunglasses one-dimensional, we make them flip up to reveal a cute “love you” message. To do so, we'll score and fold the cardstock. And then hanging the sunglasses die over the score line to create two little hinges at the top.

The color combination is cheerful, bright, and beautiful. And, it just makes you happy.
