Need a cute card for a 4 year old? Look no further, here’s a great idea for one. And, we give you step-by-step instructions on how to make it.
These children’s birthday stamps are so cute! I just had to have all of them.
This is a quick card to put together. To begin with, you just blend the background in an Ombre’ effect with light, medium, and dark orchid inks from Gina K Designs. And then, you stamp the image onto a piece of blending cardstock.
You can quickly color the image this way using alcohol markers. I like to use two tones of each color on a card like this, one that is light and the other dark. And you begin with the darker one adding it to areas where you want to add shade. And then, you use the lighter tone to blend out the darker tone and finish the coloring.
The Copic markers that I used are RV04, RV09, YR21, Y38, YG00, Y02, BG11, BG32, B21, B23.
Once the coloring is done, you need to use a stitched, scalloped rectangle die to cut out the image. Following that, you’ll want to trim a piece of hot pink cardstock to A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″), and a piece of coordinating patterned paper to 4″ x 5 1/4″.
Finally, you attach the colored cardstock to a white A2 size cardbase with a tape runner. And then, you’ll to the same with the patterned paper centered on the pink. And lastly, you’ll center the focal point on top, also using a tape runner to do so.
And that’s it.
