The Hi card is a bright and cheery card created using heat emboss resist with a die-cut sentiment. And, it’s one that you could easily mass produce. The card features the large Altenew Delicate Flower Bed stamp.
1. Make The Card Base
To begin, we’ll make a white A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2) card base. If you are unfamiliar with doing so, you can find instructions on how How To Make a Card Base.
2. Heat Embossing
Next, we’re going to use the stamp to heat emboss the image with white ink on a white A2 card panel. This is a really large stamp so I recommend that you either use a stamp positioning tool, like the Stampwheel. Or, if you have a glass mat or work surface you can lay the stamp back side down on the mat. Don’t forget to brush your panel with anti-static powder. Ink up the stamp with watermark ink and then carefully lower the card panel over the top. Once you’ve done that now you can carefully rub the card panel to make sure that you have a good impression.

3. Coloring
Once the heat embossing is cool, then you will need to start to add some color. This is a delicate little design which is perfect for using a combination of Altenew’s mini blending brushes and their detailed brushes. Randomly add the Puffy Heart, Coral Red, and Snap Dragon to achieve a pretty floral pattern. Just a little dab will do you. Follow up with Matcha Tea on all the leaves.
The white embossing resists the color to reveal the pretty floral design. Use a micro-fiber cloth to remove any ink that might be sitting on top.
4. Finishing Touches
The Tall Alpha die set lends the perfect vibe for the sentiment for this card. Use the H and the exclamation point and die-cut them four times from bright green cardstock. Once you have them cut out, layer them together with liquid glue.
Now, trim the colored panel to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and pop it up centered on the card base using Instant Dimension foam tape. And lastly fasten the sentiment to the card front (in the lower third) using liquid glue.
