Hi, and welcome to my blog! I’m participating in a fun video hop today with some of the very talented Altenew Educators. And, we’ve got such a fun topic today, Colorful Carnations. As you know, any time we can work with color it’s bound to be fun.
I always try to do something a little different and this project is no different. Enjoy the video.
My project features the Majestic Bloom stamp set. It has a huge layered flower with coordinating leaves to place wherever you like. There is also a die set for this design, however I chose not to use it on this project.
A couple of notes about the card:
Unfortunately, I used a retired stamp set, Altenew 365, for the sentiment. But, you can make one almost identical to it by using the Birthday Builder stamp set.
If something doesn’t go quite like you plan don’t fret. You might end up with something better than you think it will be. For example, I think that the two sets of leaves are much prettier in two different colorways than the one that I had planned for them.
And lastly, lessons learned: Make sure that you don’t have anything taller than your project when filming. This will help you to avoid issues with focusing.
