Cheers To Us, Spellbinders December Large Die of the Month is our featured die set for this card. Read on to learn how to make this cute card.
This card is so versatile! You can use it to celebrate any occasion. And, you can whip it up in a jiffy, so you could use it to make invitations. To make it choose cardstock from your scrap stash and die-cut all of the pieces. I have listed all of the cardstock that I used in this card if you want to make yours just like mine.
And, I use a heavy-weight vellum to make the glasses transparent.
Create a little dimension on the bottle with colored pencils or a graphite pencil. Then glue all the pieces together using liquid glue.
To create the background, you can trim a piece of dark blue cardstock to 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Place the top of the piece inside a star embossing folder. Because the embossing folder isn’t as long as the cardstock is don’t run it all the way through. Instead, run it almost to the end and then back it out again. This will make the stars kind of fade towards the bottom.
Use an embossing pen to “paint” a couple of the stars. Then, rub each edge of the background piece on a pad of watermark ink. Following that, pour on some gold embossing powder and heat emboss it.
Attach the background to a white slimline (3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) card base with a tape runner. and then fasten the bottle and glasses to the card front using foam squares to pop them up. And that’s it.
