3 Cards Using the May 2026 Club Kits

Creating handmade cards is a wonderful way to express your creativity while making something meaningful for others. Let us explore three different ways to use the May 2026 Club Kits to craft cards that truly stand out.

Radiant Day and Burst of Summer Card

Send sunny wishes with this Club Kit Cards creation from Spellbinders! Featuring a vibrant yellow sun-themed background, a cheerful cartoon purple bird, and the message “Hope your summer starts off right.” Perfect for May 26!.

This card combines the gorgeous texture of the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month (3EOM) with the delicate floral elements of the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month (CSOM). The “Radiant Day” folder sculpts your paper into an amazing work of art, while the “Burst of Summer” stamps provide a beautiful focal point.

How to make the 3EOM and CSOM May 26 Club Kit Card

Begin by trimming a half sheet of beeswax cardstock. Rub mustard seed ink on the inside of “Radiant Day” 3D Embossing Folder. Place the panel inside the embossing folder. Run it through your Spellbinders Platinum Machine using the universal plate system to achieve a deep, rich texture. Attach this beautifully embossed panel directly to your card base. Trim the panel to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and pop it up centered on a white A2 size card base using foam strips.

Next, die-cut all the elements of the pretty bird from the “Pop of Summer” Die set using cheerful pinks or purples, yellows, and green. Assemble the bird using liquid glue. Pop the die-cut bird onto the upper-right corner of the card front, with the embossed background, using foam squares for extra dimension.

Take out your “Burst of Summer” clear stamps. Heat emboss the “Hope your summer starts off right” sentiment using black embossing powder. Finish the card by adding foam squares behind the sentiment and tucking it gently beneath the bird.

Up & Away BetterPress Card

A colorful illustration of hot air balloons floating among clouds with text reading, "Glad you're along, things are looking up, let's see where this goes," on a blue background—perfect inspiration for May 26 Club Kits or your next card making project.

For a sophisticated and elegant look, the BetterPress Plate of the Month (BPOM) is an absolute must-have. The “Up & Away” design creates a flawless letterpress effect that feels incredibly high-end, transforming a simple piece of paper into a tactile masterpiece.

How to make the BPOM May 26 Club Kit Card

A greeting card with colorful hot air balloons and clouds, featuring uplifting messages like “Things are looking up”—perfect inspiration for your next Make Cards project or to add a pop of cheer to your May 26 Club Kits.

Start by securing a panel of porcelain cotton cardstock to the clear platen of your BetterPress Letterpress System. Ink the “Up & Away” press plate thoroughly with a rich, black BetterPress ink. Run the system through your manual die-cutting machine to transfer the design. You will be left with a stunning, crisp impression pressed beautifully into the cotton paper.

To make the design truly shine, use water-

activated color pencils such as Derwent Inktense to color the balloons in various bright color combinations. And, to apply a soft wash of blue across the background, mimicking a bright summer sky. The letterpress ink resists smudging, allowing the colors to blend seamlessly behind the pressed image. Trim the panel down to 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ and a piece of brushed silver to 3 7/8″ x 5″. This can be easily done using rectangle dies, or you can cut them by hand. Mount the pressed panel centered on the silver panel. Then, mount them onto a coordinating colored card base. Add a simple foiled sentiment to complete this elegant project.

Pop of Summer Large Die Card

A blue greeting card with an embossed floral pattern, perfect for card making, decorated with a layered flower and leaves, and a label that reads "Couldn't resist sending this.

If you love building intricate, dimensional scenes, the Large Die of the Month will be your new favorite tool. The “Pop of Summer” die set features a fantastic array of shapes that layer together to create a vibrant, show-stopping card front.

A vibrant card perfect for card making, this pop-up greeting features a tropical drink, a yellow bird holding an umbrella, and "Party like it's 1776." Includes a blank white note area with a flower decoration. Inspired by Spellbinders May 2026 Club Kits.

First, select a color palette of vibrant, summery cardstock—think bright coral, bold magenta, bold blue, sunny yellow, crisp white, and leafy green. Use the “Pop of Summer” dies to cut out all the various elements. Because this is a larger die set, you have plenty of pieces to mix and match.

Make a blue top folding A2 card base. Use the same color cardstock to emboss an A2 panel using the “Radiant Day” 3D Embossing Folder. Trim the panel to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and fasten it to the card front using a tape runner.

Find a pretty floral die set from your stash to use (I used the Large die of the month from March 2026, Classic Kicks. You’ll also need a couple of stitched rectangles to create the signature panel.

Create the Pop-Up Shaker

Create a pop-up shaker using acetate and the die that cuts out the top of a can. Score a 5″ x 4 1/2″ at the 2 1/2″ mark to create a 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ “shaker”. Place the can die at the top of the acetate and place it inside your die-cutting sandwich, making sure that the top plate does not cover the bottom edge of the can. Run through your die-cutting machine. Repeat on the bottom.

Open the acetate and place it on a tacky surface. Place one of the layers of the “Dots of Summer” stencil set over the acetate and apply blue solar paste over the stencil to create bubbles. Set aside to dry. Fasten the bottom and open side of the can together using 1/8″ double-sided adhesive tape.

Make your pop-up feature by scoring a piece of 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ cardstock that matches your card base at 1/2″, 7/8″, and 1 3/8″. Burnish the scores. Fold along the 7/8″ score line and add adhesive tape on both outside edges. Remove the backing paper and place centered inside the card base with the 1/2″ x 1 3/4″ edge piece on the bottom. Fold the card base to attach the pop-up box. Fasten the shaker to the front of the box with more adhesive tape.

Assemble the card

Stamp “Couldn’t Resist sending this” and “Party like it’s 1776” using pink ink. Then, use a fun label die from your stash to cut them out. Fasten the couldn’t resist label in the lower third of the card front and “party” at the base of the shaker.

Begin assembling all of the die-cut elements, starting with the largest background shapes and working your way up to the smaller, more detailed elements using liquid glue for the more intricate elements and a tape runner for the larger ones.

Fasten the signature panel on the inside of the card and add floral elements to it, and on the card front as well. Finish the card by adding all the fun elements in the shaker and top it off with the bird for a touch of summer magic.
