Spellbinders July 2025 Club Kits at a Glance
The Spellbinders July 2025 Club Kits come packed with creative potential. The hero of the collection is the Large Die of the Month, featuring intricate snowflake designs, perfect for wintry elegance. Complimenting it is the Stencil of the Month, which invites you to layer visual texture with stunning graphics. Lastly, the Embossing Folder of the Month delivers depth and dimension, transforming any card background into a visual masterpiece.
With these tools, you can adapt the components for all kinds of occasions, but today, we’re focusing on creating three winter card designs that radiate holiday cheer.
1. Large Die of the Month Card

Features: A burst of snowflakes create a beautiful backdrop for vibrant red sweater and green mittens holding a sparkling snowflake for that festive touch.
How to Make the Large Die of the Month Card
- Prepare the Focal Point. We’ll be using the Large Die of the Month, to die-cut the sweater and mitten pieces for all three cards. For this card we’ll use green cardstock for the mittens, white for the cuffs, red for the sweater, and white glitter cardstock for the snowflake and to peek out through the sweater. You can add a little shading to the mittens if you want to by using the brown that’s already on your brown blending brush. We’ll wait to assemble them until later.
- Prepare the Base. Start with a standard A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/4″) white card base. You might find How To Create A Card Base helpful if you’re just starting on your card making journey. Adhere a green patterned paper layer slightly smaller than the base to create a border.
- Create the Snowflakes. Using all of the snowflakes from the Clear Stamp and Die of the Month, heat emboss a them with sparkly clear embossing powder on an A2 piece of light blue cardstock. Blend around the two sides and the top with stormy sky ink. and Brush over the top of the snowflakes that you blended over to reveal how the embossed snowflakes resist for a unique variation of colors. Adhere the embossed layer to the card base using a tape measure.
- Arrange the Layout. Place your diecuts where you want them on the card, adhering them together as you go and pop them up with foam adhesive for added dimension.
- Add the Sentiment. Stamp and die-cut a cozy phrase, like “sending a dash of magic,” in black onto white cardstock and adhere it using foam strips just above the tips of the mittens at the center of the card.

2. Stencil of the Month Card
Features: Delicate layered snowflake patterns with frosty grays, pinks, and icy whites for a serene, wintry aesthetic.

How to Make the Stencil of the Month Card
- Prepare the Background. Cut a 5.25 x 4-inch layer of white cardstock. Using the Stencil of the Month, blend wintry hues like metallic gray, icy teal, and pink with ink blending brushes.
- Create the Focal Point. Just like we did for the first card we’re going to die-cut the pieces of the sweatr sleeves and mittens. But, for this card we’re also going to die-cut the cup, cocoa, and snowman pieces. And, we’ll even create a little steam coming off of the cocoa using vellum. Once everything is die-cut you can add a little shading with a gray blending brush and I like to make the snowman’s cheeks pink with an alcohol marker. Assemble them together using liquid glue.
- Assemble the Card. Attach a A2 size teal color panel to the card base using a tape runner. Then, center the stenciled background on top also using the tape runner. Arrange and attach all the diecuts so that it looks like someone is holding a hot cup of cocoa with steam rising from it.
- Finish with a Crisp Stamped Sentiment. Adorn the card with a sentiment such as “Wishing You Winter Magic In Every Sip.”

3. Embossing Folder of the Month Card
Features: A sophisticated 3D embossed background paired with minimalist gold accents for an elegant holiday vibe.

How to Make the Embossing Folder of the Month Card
- Prepare the Background. Cut a 5.25 x 4-inch layer of white cardstock. Lightly drag metallic ink, such as Lisa Horton’s Interference, across using the Embossing Folder of the Month, and emboss the white panel with it.
- Die-cut the Focal Point Pieces. Just like we did for the first two cards, we’re going to die-cut the pieces of the sweater sleeves and mittens. But, for this card, we’re creating a cup of cocoa with a snowflake in it. And, we’ll create the steam coming off the cocoa using vellum again, too. Once everything is die-cut, you can assemble them using liquid glue.
- Put the Card Together. Create a slim gold frame by adding a brushed gold color panel to the card base using a tape runner. Then, center the embossed background on top also using the tape runner. Arrange and attach all the die-cuts so that it looks like someone is holding a hot cup of cocoa with steam rising from it. To make it look like they are coming from the bottom left corner, you will need to trim some off of each of the sleeves.
- Finish with a Gold Sentiment. Add some more bling to the card with a sentiment such as “sending you cozy hugs & cocoa kisses” heat embossd in gold.
