Pristine Peonies Stamp and Stencil Set
For this hop, I’ve chosen to feature one of my all-time favorite Altenew products—the Pristine Peonies stamp and stencil coordinating set. This set is a dream for any flower enthusiast, offering detailed layers that allow you to create lifelike peonies with ease. The versatility of this set makes it perfect for various techniques, ensuring each card is a unique masterpiece.
One of the standout features of the Pristine Peonies set is that it has two huge floral designs. One with a single flower, and then the one that I use for my card that has two.
This set is a must-have in any cardmaker’s collection.
Step-by-Step Guide to Crafting The Pretty Peonies Card
Creating a peony card with the Pristine Peonies set involves several steps, each contributing to the final masterpiece. The video hop gives you a very quick look at how to make the card. Here’s a list to guide you through the process:
- Heat Emboss the peony image on white cardstock with Altenew’s Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder.
- Stencil color onto the embossed image using two tones of pink for the larger flower, two tones of yellow for the smaller one, and two tones of green for the petals. You can find the inks that I used in the Supply List at the bottom of this article.
- Using a watercolor brush marker filled with water, apply water to the stenciled images to deepen and blend the colors.
- Use the Woven Basket 3D embossing folder to texture the background. But first, we want to add a little Sand Dunes ink to the embossing folder to draw out the “basket” details.
- Heat emboss the sentiment with gold powder. Read Mastering the Basics of Heat Embossing to get perfect results.
- Assemble your card by trimming the background to 3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ and fastening it to the card base using double-sided adhesive sheets. Pop up the floral design and the sentiments with Instant Dimension foam tape to add the finishing touches.
By following these steps, you’ll create a card that not only looks beautiful but also showcases your artistic skills and creativity.
