The first four cards that I have to share with you are examples of what you can do with the kit. The holiday season is the perfect opportunity to showcase your creativity and spread joy with personalized handmade Christmas cards.
1. Little House Card
- Materials Needed: Handmade Holidays Cardmaking Kit, Bearly Art Glue, Glue Press, Tape Runner, Spellbinders Guillotine Paper Trimmer, Stampwheel
- Instructions:
- Trim the peachy light pink patterned paper from the Handmade Holidays Paper Pad in the kit to A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″).
- Fasten the patterned paper to an A2 card base from the kit using a tape runner.
- Pop up the three little houses and the “Warmest Wishes” banner with foam tape. And finally, add the “From All Of Us” sentiment and a star with liquid glue for a festive finish.
2. Candy Cane Handmade Christmas Card
- Materials Needed: Handmade Holidays Cardmaking Kit, Bearly Art Glue, Glue Press, Tape Runner, Spellbinders Guillotine Paper Trimmer, Stampwheel
- Instructions:
- Trim the candy cane patterned paper from the Handmade Holidays Paper Pad in the kit to A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). HINT: This is a horizontal card, so be sure to orient the paper correctly before you cut. Also trim a piece of the Forest cardstock in the kit to 2 1/8″ x 5 1/2″.
- Fasten the patterned paper to an A2 card base from the kit using a tape runner. Then, attach the green piece 5/8″ from the bottom edge of the card front.
- Pop up the three candy cane ephemera with foam tape. And finally, fasten down the large red “Merry Christmas” and the gold bow stickers to finish the card.
3. Postage Christmas Card
- Materials Needed: Handmade Holidays Cardmaking Kit, Tape Runner, Spellbinders Guillotine Paper Trimmer, Nested Postage Labels Die Set
- Instructions:
- Die-cut the pink sand and forest using the second largest pair of dies from the Nested Postage Labels Die Set.
- Fasten the die-cuts centered on an A2 card base from the kit using a tape runner. Then, arrange the postage stamps in a nice arrangement and attach them to the Forest die-cut.
- Pop up the holly with a bow and “with love” ephemera with foam tape. And that is it.
4. Warm Wishes Handmade Christmas Card
- Materials Needed: Handmade Holidays Cardmaking Kit, Tape Runner, Spellbinders Guillotine Paper Trimmer, Liquid Glue, Glue Press
- Instructions:
- Trim the holly and pine bough patterned paper from the Handmade Holidays Paper Pad in the kit to A2 size (2 5/8″ x 5 1/2″). Also, trim a piece of the Crimson cardstock in the kit to 2 1/8″ x 3″.
- Fasten the patterned paper on the left side of an A2 card base (in portrait orientation) from the kit using a tape runner. Then, attach the green piece 5/8″ from the bottom edge of the card front.
- Fasten the “May warmth and happiness fill your home these holidays” ephemera to the crimson panel with liquid glue. Arrange it on the front of the card with the other piece of ephemera. Add some foam tape and fasten them to the front of the card. You can also attach a pretty red bow with liquid glue too.
5. Delivering Joy Sleigh Handmade Christmas Card
Materials Needed
Instructions:
- Make an A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) card base.
- Trim a piece of Forest cardstock to A2 size and fasten it to the card base with a tape runner.
- Using ink cubes, add candied apple Distress Oxide and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide directly on the inside of the Argyle 3D Embossing Folder. And then, emboss a piece of snowdrift cardstock with it.
- Spritz the embossed panel with Sparkle Shimmer spray and then die-cut it with a large oval die.
- Fasten the oval centered on the card front using a white liner sheet trimmed to size.
- Die-cut all the pieces and fasten them together using liquid glue. Arrange them on the card front and attach them with liquid glue.

6. St. Nick Handmade Christmas Card
Materials Needed
Instructions:
- Create a mini-slimline card base (3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″).
- Spray a half sheet of snowdrift cardstock with green and gold sprays to create a sparkly, snowy sky effect. Trim the panel to 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ when it is dry and fasten it to the card front using a tape runner.
- Die cut five of the snowflakes from white glitter cardstock for a sparkling effect. Hand-cut a hill for the bottom of the card using the same cardstock and attach the glitter pieces to the card front using liquid glue.
- Die-cut the St. Nick pieces and fasten them together using liquid glue.
- Die-cut the sentiment from brushed gold cardstock using the handmade sentiments die set for a luxurious look. Attach it to the card using foam squares and liquid glue.
7. We Wish You A Merry Christmas Card
Materials Needed
Instructions:
- Trim the other half of the piece we colored and embossed in card #5 to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and fasten to the front of a white A2 card base.
- Die-cut the cameo pieces from crimson and forest cardstock and fasten them together with liquid glue. Then, add some dimension with foam strips and center the cameo pieces on the card front.
- Heat emboss the sentiment using the stamp set from the Handmade Holidays Cardmaking Kit with gold embossing powder. HINT: Make sure you leave plenty of room around the sentiment.
- Die-cut the sentiment using the small oval from the Cameo Frames die set.
- Use foam strips to pop up the sentiment centered on the card front and you’re done.
