I am so pleased to share a couple of cling stamp sets from the newly released Spring Collection by House-Mouse Designs over at Spellbinders.
These stamps have what I call an artists rendering of cute little mice that are playing with flowers. There is a lot of detail in the stamps, so all you need to do is color them and decide how you will feature them on your cards.
I watercolor with dye inks on my cards featuring the Daisy Mouse and Spring Rain stamp sets. And then, I use colored pencils to add some detailing.
Spring Collection – Daisy Mouse Card

This sweet stamp features Mudpie, the mouse, with a big daisy. Additionally, it comes with a choice of three sentiments in a simple, lovely font: Spring is in the Air, Special Delivery, and Thinking of You.

Tearing watercolor cardstock creates a lovely texture that echos the fluid shape of the stamped image. And then, you can pop it up on a muted gray card panel that helps to make the focal point pop. But before we do, lightly swipe white pigment ink on the panel mimicking the shape of the stamp to enhance the fluid feel of the card.
One more thing you can do to add to the light and breezy feel of this card is to blend the same ink that you use to color the flower onto the back of a piece of vellum. And finally, you can heat emboss the sentiment for a nice touch.
Spring Collection: Spring Rain Card

How could you not love this darling stamp featuring Monica, her Friend, and Amanda in the Rain? It’s a beautiful rendition of three playful mice walking in the rain, using daisies as umbrellas. Additionally, this stamp comes with the beautiful statement sentiment: Friends Make the World Beautiful.

The stamp is very large, filling an A2 card. As a result, you can use a pretty frame to set it off. For example, an ivory panel die-cut with the Infinity Punch and Pierce does just the trick. All you have to do is fasten the die-cuts to an A2 card base and then pop the stamped panel centered on top.
Vellum is perfect for adding a sentiment to enhance the card design rather than covering it up.
