The Envelope of Wonder die set is full of beautiful flowers, greenery, & a really cool envelope! Learn all about it and how to use it here.
OK, here’s another release from Spellbinders that I am super excited to share with you. If you saw the article I posted on August 18, 2023, Make Someone Smile – Sending an Autumn Wonder Pop-up Card. Or, the Video, How To Make A Spellbinders Wonder Pop-up Card that I published the same day. Then, you already know how much fun I think the Envelope of Wonder products are.
But if you haven’t seen them yet, or if you just jumped over from the August Collaboration video hop featuring Spellbinders’ latest release, then you’re in the right place.
The goal for our project today is to create a unique, bright, and colorful birthday card. And, I think we nailed it!
I keep all of my Spellbinders cardstock scraps separate from all the others. And that is what I use with Envelope of Wonder for all of the flowers and greenery. And then, the flowers are too pretty to cover up, so I make the envelope with vellum. But, I use a medium gray for the back flap that we attach all the die-cuts to so that the colors will really pop.
The set comes with a cute little tie to add the sentiment. And, the collection comes with your choice of a coordinating sentiment stamp set or BetterPress Press plates and dies. I go with the latter to create a whimsical card in keeping with the card.
Watch the video to see how I put the card together. I hope you enjoy it!
Supplies
There is a full list of supplies that I use to create this project at the bottom of this post, including all of the cardstock colors.

Bonus Card: Envelope of Wonder Wedding Card
The bonus card is very similar to the first one, but it takes it up a notch to create a beautiful wedding card. I use Envelope of Wonder again but with a limited palette. I just use a light and medium shade of peach with white for the flowers. But, I use the same three greens that I use in the first card.
And then, I use a pretty kraft cardstock for the inside of the envelope that backs up the flowers. Then I glam up the vellum envelope by heat embossing the edges in gold.
To finish off the card, I conducted a little experiment that I think works pretty well. I heat-embossed in gold again. But this time with the coordinating BetterPress Wonder Sentiments set to create a pretty little congratulatory message. And then, we have to have bling on a wedding card! , Spellbinders’ Crystal Mix is perfect for adding just the right amount of sparkle.
