3D Embossing Folder & Stencil April 25 Club Kit Card

The 3D Embossing Folder & Stencil Kits are game changers for anyone looking to add depth and dimension to their projects. This month’s design features an elegant postal pattern that makes every card look like a masterpiece. The accompanying stencils give you the opportunity to add soft, blended colors that bring the embossed design to life.
How to Make the 3D Embossing Folder & Stencil Card

Creating a card with this kit is simple and so much fun. Follow these easy steps:
- Start creating your card panel: Blend the border onto a half sheet of alabaster cardstock with Fired Brick. Then, blend the second layer with Faded Jeans.
- Follow with embossing the panel: Run your stenciled cardstock through the 3D embossing folder using your die-cutting machine making sure that the border is aligned with the embossing images in the embossing folder. The result? A dimensional postal design that’s as stunning as it is detailed. Trim the panel around the border to A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) and distress the panel with Vintage Photo ink.
- Add watercolor colors: Using the embossed design add color and shading using your favorite watercolor paint and a small round watercolor brush. Focus on highlighting the raised areas for a beautifully layered effect.
- Add a die-cut sentiment: Choose a bold sentiment die from your collection, (or from Spellbinders April 25 Clear Stamp & Die kit) and adhere it using foam tape for added depth.
- Assemble the card: Add a few gems or pearls to the card for extra sparkle if you want, adhere the card panel to an A2 size card base and you’re done!

BetterPress April 25 Club Kit Card

How to Make the BetterPress Card

- Create your BetterPress impression: Place the BetterPress plate included in the kit onto your press and secure your cardstock in place with the correct alignment. Ink your plate with precision, then press to reveal a stunning impression. Hint: I pressed the border plate first and then added the printed design in the center just to make sure it was centered and straight with the border. Trim the panel to A2 size or to add a little umf you can use a decorative rectangle die such as one from the Postal Edge die set.
- Age the panel: A fun technique that I like to use is to blend brown ink (like Vintage Photo randomly over the panel and around the edges to make it look pretty and old.
- Add color to your design: Use your favorite floral dies to add just a touch of color to softly enhance the letterpressed image. This step takes the design from polished to extraordinary.
- Assemble it: Use a strong adhesive like white liner trimmed to 4″ x 5 1/4″ to fasten the card panel to an A2 size card base Use liquid glue to attach the floral die-cuts and foam squares to pop up a pretty pressed sentiment blended the same way the rest of the card is done.
