Steps to Make The Stitched Circle Card

1. Die-cut the Background Layers and Sentiment and Its Shadows

First, gather your die-cutting machine and the necessary dies. You’ll need:

Instructions:

  1. snowdrift, zig zag from lagoon and sunkissed.  It is helpful to tape the zig zag die and the plain circle die together before running it through your die-cutting machine.
  2. sunkissed. Then, use the mid-shadow die to cut its corresponding shadow layer from royal amethyst cardstock and the large shadow from lagoon.

2. Assemble the Background and Sentiment with Liquid Glue

Once you have all your die-cut pieces ready, it’s time to assemble them.

Instructions:

  1. lagoon. Spread the glue over the cardstock with a scrap of cardstock to keep it from seeping out from behind your die-cut.  Carefully adhere it centered on the stitched circle cut from snowdrift.
  2. sunkissed.  And then, inlay them on the zig zag circle.  It is helpful to use a reverse tweezers for gluing and placing the cardstock precisely
  3. 3. Assemble the Stitched Circle Card

Now that your main elements are in place, let’s put the card together.

    Instructions:

    1. royal amethyst to 4″ x 5 1/4″. You can do so with a trimmer, however, I like to use a rectangle die such as the ones found in Spellbinders Precision Layering A2 die set to ensure that the panel is square.
    2. tape runner.
    3. ol]:!pt-0 [&>ol]:!pb-0 [&>ul]:!pt-0 [&>ul]:!pb-0″ value=”4″>Consider using foam adhesive squares to add dimension to certain elements, like the sentiment.
    4. ol]:!pt-0 [&>ol]:!pb-0 [&>ul]:!pt-0 [&>ul]:!pb-0″ value=”6″>Allow the card to dry completely before handling.
