Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Prepare your workspace by setting up your BetterPress system according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Select your cardstock & Prepare it for Coloring – Go with BetterPress Bisque Cardstock for it’s warmer tone. And, we’re going to do something a little different for this card. We’re going to apply a no-line ink to the press plate and then lower the cardstock down over the plate and press it with your finger tips.
  3. Select your Ink Choose warm autumn tones like deep orange, golden yellow, avocado, and/or rich purple to complement the season. Using a blending brush, blend the colors randomly over the different hexicon shapes until they are all colored.
  4. Position the “Sketchy Hexi” plate onto the Chase (magnetic platform) ensuring it’s centered and secure.
  5. Tape your blended cardstock panel onto the clear Platen using the registration marks as your guide.
  6. Apply ink evenly across the BetterPress plate surface using tawny brown.
  7. Create the letterpress sandwich by placing the prepared components together and running through your manual die-cutting machine with firm, steady pressure.
  8. Remove and admire your beautifully impressed panel with its raised hexagonal texture.
  9. Mount the panel onto your card base using your tape runner, then add a sentiment cut with a dies from the large die of the month and brushed white to complete your elegant autumn card.

How To Make The Stencil September 2025 Club Kit Card

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Secure your stencil over your chosen cardstock panel to prevent shifting. I like to use the Stencil and Stamp tool for stenciling.
  2. Select your ink colors – try combinations like Crackling Campfire, Fossilized Amber, Forest Moss, and Villainous Potion for authentic autumn vibes.
  3. Begin ink blending by picking up color on your blending tool and applying it through the stencil openings with circular motions.
  4. Layer colors gradually starting with lighter shades and building up to deeper tones for natural depth. To replicate leaves turning in nature mix and match colors within the leaves as well
  5. Pay attention to the acorn details – use darker brown tones for the caps and lighter shades for the bodies to create realistic dimension.
  6. Carefully remove the stencil to reveal your beautiful autumn scene.Add oak leaf details by blending green and brown tones, allowing colors to blend naturally at the edges.
  7. Die-cut your Focal Point Elements using pieces from the large die of the month to make up the squirrel, a leaf that matches the stencil and the ground. I blended some metallic inks onto the leaaf to coordinate with the background yet stand out from it. to reveal your beautiful autumn scene.
  8. Use your favorite oval stencils to cut an oval and scalloped oval frame that will help to draw your hey to the focal point. Heat emboss a happy “hello” sentiment with a mix of gold and green embossing powders.
  9. Mount your finished panel onto a white A2 card base, pop up the ovals with foam strips for dimension, and assemble and attach the pretty little squirrel to complete your nature-inspired masterpiece.

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Prepare your 3D embossing sandwich by placing your cardstock inside the “Patchwork” folder, then building the proper sandwich with your Universal Plate System components.
  2. Run through your die-cutting machine using firm pressure to achieve the deepest possible impression from this amazing 3D folder.
  3. Rub ink over the embossed texture if desired, using autumn-toned distress inks to highlight the beautiful patchwork pattern.
  4. Heat Emboss your sentiment using the “Autumn Whim” clear stamp set on a scrap of orange cardstock – try using an iridescent embossing powder for a special effect. Trim closely around your sentiment with a scissors or a guillotine paper trimmer.
  5. Die-cut your stamped sentiment using the coordinating dies for perfect, clean edges every time.
  6. Stamp the Autumn Images onto a white piece of cardstock. Use the coordinating stencil to blend some of the images with autumn-toned distress inks. Then, use a glue pen to heat emboss some of the details on a couple of the elements. Use a fancy die in your stash to trim the stamped panel to approximately 3″ x 4 1/2″.
  7. Layer your elements by adhering the embossed panel to your card base, then adding the stamped panel with foam strips for extra pop.
  8. Add finishing touches Use more foam adhesive to pop up the sentiment on top of the stamped panel and that’s it.

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Create your background – blend a variety of greens onto an A2 card panel concentrating darker tones on the laft side just larger than the completed acorn house. Spray heavily with Green + Gold Two Tone spray to create a magical feel. Trim the panel to 4″ x 5 1/4″ once it’s dry and center it on a brown A2 color panel that has been fastened to your card base.
  2. Select your cardstock colors – choose a variety of autumn shades like deep gold, rusty orange, and warm brown to create visual interest.
  3. Cut your main elements using the largest dies in the set, ensuring you have clean, precise cuts by running them through your machine twice if needed.
  4. Layer smaller details by cutting accent pieces in coordinating colors and layering them over your main elements for dimension.
  5. Add realistic details by using different colored cardstock for various parts of the acorns and leaves – try metallic gold for the small acorn and add color variations and shading by blending! You can also carefully bend the acorn house to make it look more realistic.
  6. Arrange your composition on your card base before adhering, playing with overlapping elements to create natural, organic layouts.
  7. Secure all pieces using your preferred adhesive, building up layers for beautiful dimension.
  8. Add final touches like ink distressing around edges or small stamped details to bring your autumn scene to life.
  9. Complete with a sentiment that complements your beautiful die-cut focal point like “Happy Thanksgiving” from the set.
