User Experience With the Scout

Using the Platinum Scout is a delightful experience. It produces the same high-quality die-cuts as the larger Platinum 6 machine, but in a more portable size. Whether you’re crafting at home or on the go, the Scout’s ease of use makes it a perfect companion for any project. The user-friendly design ensures you can achieve precise and professional results with minimal effort.

Tip

I find that my Scout works best if I use the following sandwich from top to bottom:

  1. A Platform
  2. F Shim
  3. B Platform Top
  4. C Cutting Plate
  5. Die (facing down)
  6. Cardstock
  7. C Cutting Plate

This is just the opposite of what I use with my Platinum 6, but I get perfect die-cuts by doing so.

Scout Pros and Cons

Pros:

Cons:

  • Plate Width Limitation: The plates are 3.5″ wide, which may be restrictive for cutting A2 size dies (4 1/4″ wide).

Out and About Collection

One of the highlights of using the Platinum Scout is pairing it with the Out and About die sets. These sets are perfectly compatible with the Scout, allowing you to create stunning cards and projects with ease. I recently made five unique cards using the Out and About collection and the Scout, and I’m thrilled with how they turned out.
