Amazing card created with beautiful inks and layered stencils.

I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for new ideas for cards. Ones that you can put together quickly. But, they need to “knock it out of the park” too! Well, this one kinda does that.

We’re using Concord and 9th’s Blended Petals bundle that features a big, huge flower arrangement that fills your card front. That means that you can stamp or heat emboss your outlines, blend in your coloring, and add a sentiment in no time. In addition, you can buy them at a discount as a bundle, or you can get the stamp set, die set, and layering stencils separately.

Read along and we’ll show you how to make this card.

Easy Peasy For This Amazing Card

First, we’ll stamp the floral image onto a white card base using black multi-media ink. After the ink is dry, we’ll position the first stencil layer (the one with the whole flowers cut out) to align with the stamped image. And then, we’ll begin blending the flowers only very lightly with our lightest color, the peach. Next, we’ll use the same color, but this time with the second stencil layer. And, we’re going to unevenly blend the flowers to give them more dimension.

Once the peach work is complete, we’ll move on to the third stencil. And this time, we’ll use honeysuckle ink, a pretty coral color. Using the same technique as we used with the peach, we’ll finish off the flower petals. To finish the coloring for the flowers, we’ll use the same stencil and align the centers of the flowers over our blended piece. And for them, we’ll use yellow ink to add a punch.

The next step is very important. We want to thoroughly clean our stencils to remove all ink from them. You can do this by washing them with water, spraying alcohol, or by using baby wipes.

Blending the Leaves

Once we’re sure that our stencils are clean and dry we will go back to the first stencil. But first, we’ll attach the masking stencil over the floral image with low tack tape. And this time we’ll be blending the leaves. So, we’ll start with the leaves on top and blend using light green ink. Once the coloring is complete, then we’ll pick up the stencil and move it to align the leaves on the bottom. And then, we’ll blend again in light green.

Lastly, we’ll align the leaves on the top of the second stencil layer and blend them with dark green ink and we’ll do the same with the leave on the bottom.

The stencils are easy to use and well designed. So it’s fun to color with them and you can produce beautiful flower bunches with them.

In the example, I use some spare sentiments that I have in my stash. But, the stamp set includes some very nice ones.

And that’s it, our card is complete. Isn’t it pretty?

Try making it yourself, you’ll love it!
