This thank you card is easy to make and is gorgeous! You can make it too with the following step-by-step instructions.
I attended the Card Maker’s Summit a couple of weeks ago and @MarishaDean presented this card concept and design. Check out her blog HERE.
We’re going to begin to make her card by creating the gold oval frame. And, we’ll do this by cutting it out of gold mirror cardstock using the two largest dies in the oval nesting set. Hint: use low-tack tape to hold the dies in place while running them through the die-cut machine. This results in a beautiful, even frame.
Next, we’ll cut out the giant thank you sentiment three times from black cardstock. We do this because we’re going to stack them together to create some dimension. We’ll just glue them together using liquid glue. And then we’ll set the sentiment aside while we work on the flowers.
Thank You Card Flowers
Making the flowers is a three-step process. First, we’ll blend three coordinating colors of ink onto some black and white patterned paper. Then we’ll cut them out with layered flower dies. And, we’ll also cut the stamens and the leaves from glitter cardstock. And lastly, we’ll attach them together with a brad.
Assembly
We’ll use a stitched rectangle die to trim the card panel and then we’ll center it on the card base with a glue runner. Next, we’ll add the oval frame with liquid glue. Then we’ll arrange the flowers and leaves and attach them with liquid glue. Lastly, find a nice spot for the sentiment and glue it on as well.
