The Cozy Toes Frogs Hello Card
This charming card showcases a sweet frog character adorning fluffy slippers, perfect for brightening someone’s day. The design features layered die-cuts in cheerful greens and soft pastels, creating a dimensional look that’s both playful and polished.
The frog’s expressive face and cozy slippers give the card personality, while the stamped sentiment adds a warm, personal touch. With simple assembly and delightful details, this card is ideal for saying hello, thinking of you, or just because.
How to Make the Cozy Toes Frogs Hello Card
Instructions:
Step 1: Die-Cut Your Character Pieces
Begin by selecting your cardstock colors. To do this, I recommend picking a patterned paper for the pajama legs first. Then choose colors that coordinate with the pajamas. For example, I use a fun pattern from my stash. Then I use a mid green (rainforest) for the frog’s face, dark coral (Sicily) for the slippers, dark green (fern) for the soles, and coral for accents. Run the Cozy Toes Friends dies through your die-cutting machine, cutting out the frog’s face, face details, legs, and slipper pieces.
Step 2: Assemble the Frog
Layer the frog’s face details, using a small amount of adhesive. Add the eyes, cheeks, and mouth to create that adorable expression. Attach the frog to the slippers, positioning them so they will fit naturally at the bottom of the legs.
Step 3: Create Your Card Base
Cut a standard A2-sized card base (4.25 x 5.5 inches) from white or cream cardstock. HINT: Read How to Make a Card Base if you need help doing so. You can add a patterned paper panel or ink-blended background if desired. I use a watercolor background from my stash. The secret is to keep it simple so your characters remain the focal point.
Create a coordinating frame for your focal point by attaching an A2 piece of cardstock in a coordinating color to the card front using a tape runner. I use fern. Use a fun rectangle die to die-cut your patterned background and then fasten it on top.
Step 4: Heat Emboss Your Sentiment
Using the Cozy Toes Friends stamp set, choose a sentiment that fits your message. Options like “good friends are hard to find” or “you’re my go-to for comfort” work beautifully. I have a friend who is recovering from having dental work done, so I’m using “you’ve been on my mind …” Stamp your chosen phrase onto a separate strip of cardstock. Pro Tip: Use white pigment ink instead of watermark ink. This works great when you’re heat embossing white onto a darker color.
Step 6: Assemble and Finish
Position your completed slippers on the card front, using foam tape to create depth. Add your sentiment above the characters. Your Cozy Toes Frogs Hello Card is complete!

The Cozy Toes Unicorn Birthday Card
Celebrate someone special with this enchanting unicorn birthday card. Featuring a dreamy unicorn character in pretty rainbow colors and a sparkling horn, this design captures the magic of birthdays while keeping things cozy with those signature slippers.
The layered die-cuts create wonderful dimension, and the mix of colors—think pinks, purples, and whites—gives the card a whimsical, celebratory feel. Pair it with a birthday sentiment from the coordinating stamp set, and you’ve got a card that’s sure to make the recipient smile.
How to Make the Cozy Toes Unicorn Birthday Card
Instructions:
Step 1: Die-Cut Your Unicorn Pieces
Just like with the first card, I suggest that you pick a patterned paper for the pajamas first. Again, I go to my stash and use one with rainbow colors from an old My Favorite Things pad. Select your coordinating cardstock colors for the unicorn’s face, mane, horn, and slippers. Brushed white works beautifully for the face and nose (use your pink blending brush to add a little shading). Rainbow colors like blue, teal, yellow, orange, pink, and purple create a magical mane. For the horn, consider using metallic gold or holographic cardstock or just glitter with some glue for extra sparkle. To add a little more magic, you can use black glitter foam for the unicorn’s eyes.
Step 2: Build Your Unicorn
Start by layering the unicorn’s face details. Add the eyes, nose, and any the facial details to bring the face to life. Layer the mane pieces, alternating colors to create visual interest and depth.
Step 3: Add the Horn and Slippers
Attach the unicorn’s horn to the top of the head. If you’re using glitter cardstock, this is where your card will really start to shine! Die-cut the slipper pieces in a coordinating color and attach them to the legs.
Step 4: Create a Festive Background
Cut your card base from white or light-colored cardstock. Consider adding a soft ink-blended background in complementary colors (light pinks, purples, or blues work wonderfully). Or, you can also use something from your stash, like me. Create a frame again by fastening an A2 piece of purple cardstock to your A2 card base. Die-cut your patterned background using a fancy scalloped die and attach it centered on the card front using a tape runner or double-sided adhesive.
Step 5: Heat Emboss Your Birthday Sentiment
Choose a birthday sentiment from the Cozy Toes Friends stamp set. “Your birthday deserves the coziest kind of celebration” is perfect for this card. Sparkly embossing powder is perfect for this kind of magical card. Stamp the sentiment onto a banner strip of cardstock. Heat emboss with your sparkly embossing powder. Once it is cool, you can add more bling with glue and glitter if you like. I wanted to soften the hard lines of the banner. To do that, you can hand-cut a scrap of the patterned background paper with shallow scallops to create a shadow banner. And then you can layer the sentiment over it.
Step 6: Final Assembly
Position your completed unicorn character on the card front using liquid glue. Add your sentiment, placing it where it complements the overall design. For extra magic, embellish with small rhinestones, sequins, or a touch of glitter glue on the horn and mane.
