Card 1: The Large Die May ’25 Club Kit Card

A black card made with card kits, featuring white handwritten text—"to the best teacher you're the boldest crayon in the box"—and a small red apple illustration, lying on a wood surface. Perfect inspiration to make cards with May '25 Club Kits.

The Large Die in this month’s kit is fun and simple, featuring all the things that you might stick on your refrigerator, perfect for celebrating teachers or students.

Our card turns the refrigerator into a chalkboard, with a cute little apple.

How to Make the Large Die May ’25 Club Kit Card

An open card with a plain black cover and a white inside featuring a simple red crayon illustration—perfect inspiration for card making or adding to your May 25 Club Kits, displayed on a wooden surface.
  1. Die-Cut the Design: Cut your Large Die pieces from cardstock of your choice (e.g., primary colors are always just right for school-related themes). For added texture, use a specialty cardstock, such as glitter or metallic paper.
  2. Create the Base: Use just an A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) white cardstock card panel and the largest die in the set, die-cut with raven cardstock to create the card base. Fold the tab on the score line and add a little liquid glue to fasten the die-cut (as the card front) to the back of the card panel.
  3. Add the Sentiments:
    • Stamp the sentiments with pigment ink to achieve a chalk-on-whiteboard effect.
    • For added charm, you can stamp a crayon on the inside of the card like I did in my card.
  4. Assemble the Elements:
    • Layer the die-cut pieces using liquid glue.
    • Arrange them on the card front until you’re happy with the design and fasten them down with the glue.
  5. Add Finishing Details:
    • Embellish with rhinestones or sequins to add sparkle.

Card 2: The Stencil May ’25 Club Kit Card

A greeting card with a pattern of yellow pencils and the text "to the best teacher" on the front, perfect for May 2025 or as inspiration for card making and club kits, placed on a wooden surface.
  1. Prepare Your Base:
  2. Layer With Color:
    • Start with a A2 size piece of white cardstock as your background
    • Secure the stencil over your cardstock with washi tape.
    • Blend coordinating ink colors through the stencil using a blending brush. Gradients work beautifully here!
  3. Add Sentiment and Embellishments:
    • Stamp, die-cut, or heat emboss a bold sentiment that contrasts with the colorful background.
    • Consider adding enamel dots or gems for texture.
  4. Accent the Background:
    • Use metallic splatters or embossing paste for additional interest if you like.
  5. Assemble the Card:
    • Stamp, die-cut, or heat emboss a bold sentiment that contrasts with the colorful background.
    • Consider adding enamel dots or gems for texture.

Card 3: The Clear Stamp & Die May ’25 Club Kit Card

A handmade card for card making, featuring three cartoon crayons and messages "to the best student" and "you're the brightest crayon I know," on a blue and green background. Perfect addition to your May '25 Club Kits collection.

The Clear Stamp & Die set offers fun outlines for stamping, coloring, and die-cutting, perfect for creating dynamic designs.

How to Make the Clear Stamp & Die May ’25 Club Kit Card

A handmade card from our May 25 Club Kits features three smiling cartoon crayons and the text "to the best student" and "you're the brightest crayon I know" on a green and blue background—perfect for card making enthusiasts.
  1. Stamp Your Images:
    • Use the Clear Stamp set to stamp your designs onto cardstock with ink colors of your choice. I use one of the cards from my DIY Color Deck for inspiration.
  2. Create the Background:
    • Softly blend Twisted Citron in two of the corners of an A2 piece of Malibu cardstock.
  3. Die-Cut the Images:
    • Use the coordinating dies to cut out your stamped images.
    • Use a cute rectangle die, such as the postage edge rectangles to die-cut a color panel from indigo cardstock and the background slightly smaller to create a dark frame around it.
    • Assemble the card panels onto a white card base using a tape runner.
  4. Design Your Card:
    • Arrange the colored elements on the card front.
    • Attach using foam adhesive for added interest.
  5. Finish It Off:
    • Add a stamped or die-cut sentiment and embellishments like twine or pearls.

Card 4: The 3D Embossing Folder May ’25 Club Kit Card

A colorful card designed to look like book spines with embossed patterns—a perfect way to say thanks! Created using May '25 Club Kits, it’s an inspiring example of what you can make with our card kits. Displayed on a wooden surface.

The May ’25 3D Embossing Folder adds rich, dimensional backgrounds that elevate your cards effortlessly.

How to Make the 3D Embossing Folder May ’25 Club Kit Card

A colorful greeting card with embossed spines resembling books and a label that reads, "Long story short, thanks for everything," perfect for card making or including in your May '25 Club Kits, placed on a wooden surface.

The May ’25 3D Embossing Folder adds rich, dimensional backgrounds that elevate your cards effortlessly.

How to Make the 3D Embossing Folder May ’25 Club Kit Card

  1. Prepare Your Card Panel:
    • Use plain or specialty cardstock, like shimmer or pearlescent paper, for embossing. I use a different color of cardstock for each book.
  2. Run Through the Machine:
    • Place the cardstock into the embossing folder and run it through your die-cutting machine as per the manufacturer’s instructions. You will do this with each color, ending up with five embossed panels. Make sure that you place the cardstock in the same place in the embossing folder for each panel.
    • Use a paper trimmer to cut between the books
  3. Assemble the Books:
    • Fasten each book to the front of an A2 card base using liquid glue. Start by adding the first book along the folded edge. Then, make sure that each following book is tight against the one before it. Put a heavy weight on the finished card front to let the glue set.
  4. Highlight the Texture:
    • Lightly brush metallic or white pigment ink over the raised areas to highlight the embossing. I use a metallic marker on my card to get just the right amount of gold sheen.
  5. Build Your Design:
    • Add a die-cut or heat-embossed sentiment and embellishments like ribbon or floral elements to complete the look.
