Spring Large Die of the Month Card

Easter card from the Spellbinders Spring Release featuring a bunny in overalls holding a paintbrush. It showcases a decorated egg and a "Hoppy Easter" banner, set against a gradient of yellow, green, and pink for a cheerful touch.

The Large Die of the Month for February is all about intricate spring-inspired floral motifs. This die set brings timeless botanical elegance to cards, scrapbook layouts, or tags.

How To Make the Spring Large Die of the Month Card

Step 1 – Choose Your Color Palette

Spring-themed cards are perfect for incorporating pastel tones like lavender, mint, and blush pink, alongside bolder, nature-inspired greens and yellows. Create a spring watercolor wash rainbow for the background and trim it with a pretty scalloped rectangle die.

Step 2 – Use Large Die Elements

Run your Spellbinders Large Die pieces through your die-cut machine to create beautifully shaped bunny, overalls, brush and Easter egg.

Step 3 – Layer and Assemble

Combine die cuts with liquid glue and pop them up with dimensional adhesive squares to bring your spring Easter arrangement to life. Play around with placement until your composition feels balanced.

Step 4 – Add a Sentiment

Choose a sentiment from the large die of the month set that adds meaning to your card, such as “Hoppy Easter” or “Hello Spring”.

Step 5 – Embellish

Finish your card with a few embellishments like sequins, pearls, or glitter for extra sparkle like I did in this card.

BetterPress of the Month Card

A thank you card from the Spellbinders Spring Release collection, adorned with a floral blue and white pattern. At its heart, "Thank You" is elegantly scripted in cursive text, framed by a delicate blue border.

Step 1 – Prepare the Paper Panel

Cut a high-quality cardstock panel such as Spellbinder’s BetterPress Cotton cardstock that works perfectly with the BetterPress system. We recommend porcelain or bisque for the best results.

Step 2 – Set Up the BetterPress Design Plate

Align your plate with ink pads in your selected springtime colors (think pastels like French blue and cruise green). Add your paper panel, close the press, and run everything through your die-cut machine.

Step 3 – Customize the Edges

Use decorative rectangular dies to create the edges of your card panel to add interest and draw the eye to the focal point.

Step 4 – Add Additional Elements

Once your letterpress design is complete, layer it onto a base card with a tape runner and accent using colored die cuts, stickers, or stamps or a nice sentiment.

Spring Stencil, and the Stamp & Die of the Month Card

A charming greeting card featuring a rabbit and chick nestled among vibrant flowers. The text reads "Warm Spring Release Wishes," set against a blurred green and white background. Perfect for Spellbinders enthusiasts!.

Combining sets offers versatility by allowing you to stencil colorful backgrounds, stamp detailed designs, and add texture or cutouts with the dies. It’s perfect for creating layered, custom spring scenes.

How to Make the Spring Stencil, Stamp, & Die of the Month Card

Step 1 – Stencil Your Background

Use the stencil to add a colorful floral background with soft hues like pastel blue, mint green, or peach. Blend inks onto your cardstock for smooth gradients. Trim the stenciled panel with a fun scalloped die.

Step 2 – Stamp the Design

Stamp the cute critters of your choice onto white cardstock with black ink. Then, color them with colored pencils to make them more realistic.

Step 3 – Add Die Cuts

Die-cut the stamped and colored critters and die-cut three extras to layer them behind the stamped images with liquid glue. Use these elements to create depth and dimension.

Step 4 – Assemble

Arrange all elements on top of your card base to create a coordinated and layered look.

Step 5 – Finishing Touches

Add a sweet sentiment stamped on a piece of cardstock blended with an ink that you use for your background. Pop up with foam squares for depth.
