Creating your own envelopes adds a personal touch to your handmade cards and ensures they fit perfectly. Follow these simple steps to make an envelope using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.

- Paper or Cardstock of your choice

- Bone Folder – Altenew Crafter’s Essentials Bone Folder
- Tape Runner – Spellbinders Refillable Tape Runner
Steps to Make a Handmade Envelope
- Select Your Card Size:
- Use the table printed on the envelope punch board to find your card size.
- Trim Cardstock or Paper:
- Cut your cardstock or paper to the correct size listed for your card size using the paper trimmer.
- Align and Score:
- Align the left edge of your cardstock to the score line measurement for your card size on the punch board.
- Punch and score the paper.
- Rotate and Repeat:
- Rotate the paper 90 degrees counterclockwise.
- Align the score mark with the score guide on the envelope punch board.
- Repeat the punch and score steps for all four corners.
- Fold and Glue:
- Fold along the score lines and use the bone folder to crease the folds sharply.
- Apply adhesive with the tape runner to secure the envelope flaps.
Tips for a Perfect Handmade Envelope
- Round the Corners:
- Use the reverse punch on the envelope punch board to round the corners for a polished look.
Example:
For a 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card, you will need:
- Paper Size: 9″ x 9″
- Score Line: 4 1/2″
