  1. Trim Cardstock or Paper:
  • Cut your cardstock or paper to the correct size listed for your card size using the paper trimmer.
  1. Align and Score:
  • Align the left edge of your cardstock to the score line measurement for your card size on the punch board.
  • Punch and score the paper.
  1. Rotate and Repeat:
  • Rotate the paper 90 degrees counterclockwise.
  • Align the score mark with the score guide on the envelope punch board.
  • Repeat the punch and score steps for all four corners.
  1. Fold and Glue:
  • Fold along the score lines and use the bone folder to crease the folds sharply.
  • Apply adhesive with the tape runner to secure the envelope flaps.

Tips for a Perfect Handmade Envelope

  • Round the Corners:
  • Use the reverse punch on the envelope punch board to round the corners for a polished look.

Example:

For a 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card, you will need:

  • Paper Size: 9″ x 9″
  • Score Line: 4 1/2″

By following these steps, you’ll have a perfectly crafted envelope that complements your handmade cards. Happy crafting!
