Want To Share Some Luck Of The Irish?

A St. Patrick's Day card with green shamrocks and the text "Happy St. Patrick's Day" on a wooden surface, bringing you the Luck of the Irish.

Luck of the Irish comes with this card using a new stamp set and fun techniques. Read on to learn how to make it.

This pretty little card for St. Patrick’s Day is quick and easy. You can knock out a dozen of them in an hour or two.

To begin the card we’ll lightly blend the lightest green ink onto a white A2 card panel. Next, using the same ink and the stamp a bunch of clover sprigs (unfortunately this stamp is no longer available) we’ll stamp three times. And we’ll twist the stamp slightly because we want each one to appear different from the others. Using the middle green ink we’ll stamp the three-leaf clover three times in a triangle leaving a hole in the middle to add the focal point. And again, we’ll twist the stamp.

To make the card really stand out, we’ll stamp the four-leaf clover in the center with the darkest green ink. And then we’ll stamp it again with watermark ink. Next, we’ll sprinkle clear glitter embossing powder over the top of it and heat it until it’s melted and smooth.

Then all that is left is to add the sentiment and assemble the card. To create the sentiment for this card we print it with a laser printer and then foil it with gold foil. Then we just trim it and pop it up with a scrap of double-adhesive foam sheets.

To finish the card we’ll attach the A2 color layer to the card base with a glue runner. Then trim the card panel by using a stitched rectangle die, or cut it to 3 3/4″ x 5″. Center it over the color layer and attach it with a glue runner.
