Nothing like a cute get-well card featuring Pooh and his friends to cheer you up.
How to Make Winnie the Pooh Card 1
- Make a handmade background – This gives a childlike, natural feel to your card. To create one like mine, apply Altenew’s Butternet Fresh Dye Ink directly to a white A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) piece of cardstock. Be sure to use light, wispy “brush strokes diagonally in both directions.
- Die-cut your images – Use the following list to create a card like the one in the photo:
Pooh, honey – Tuscan
Nose, Ear, & Eye – Onyx
Letters, honey label – Chamomile
Frame – Sage
Jar – Raindrop
Inside Jar – Cosmic Sky
Background – Glacier
Add shading to the bear and the jar with ink on your blending brushes.
Add glossy accents to the honey.
- Assemble the Card – Attach the background to a white A2 size card base using a tape runner (for help, read How To Make A Card Base). Use the photo as a guide to assemble the bear and honey jar. And arrange them to make it look like the bear is holding the jar and sitting on the frame. Arrange the letters that say Get Well Soon! around the bear. Fasten everything down with liquid glue.

- Add Pooh and Piglet – Press the Friendly Moments Press Plate on Porcelain cardstock with black BetterPress ink. Color it with Derwent Inktense colored pencils and trim it to 3 3/4″ x 5″ using a stitched rectangle die. Position on the card base with a tape runner, slightly on an angle.
- Include a soft sentiment – Blend blue and green on a piece of white cardstock and die-cut the letters that spell out miss you! Attach the sentiment to the card front with liquid glue.
