Can you feel it? The days are getting just a little bit longer, and there’s a fresh, crisp feeling in the air that can only mean one thing: spring is on its way! For us crafters, the change of season is the perfect excuse to refresh our creative palettes. It’s time to swap out those deep winter blues and heavy reds for soft pastels, vibrant greens, and cheerful florals. The Spellbinders Feb 26 Club Kits are here to help us do exactly that.

This month is all about celebrating new beginnings with whimsical designs that capture the essence of the season. We’re talking about adorable bunnies, lush botanical details, and trendy accessories that will make your cards stand out. Whether you love the tactile feel of letterpress or the satisfaction of building scenes with die cuts, this month’s collection has something to spark your imagination.

If you’ve been looking for a way to bring some sunshine into your craft room, you’re in the right place. Today, we’re going to walk through four distinct card projects using the new February clubs. Grab your die-cutting machine and let’s get crafting!

Feb 26 Club Kits Card 1: The Clear Stamp & Die Card

A greeting card features a bunny, decorated egg, tulips, grass, and a butterfly with the text "Sending Springtime Smiles" on a pastel background.

For our first project, we are combining the sweetness of the Ears To Spring Clear Stamp & Die of the Month with the elegance of the From Ink To Petal Press & Foil of the Month. Mixing and matching kits is one of the best ways to get the most out of your subscriptions, and these two coordinate beautifully to create a balanced, professional-looking card.

How to make the Clear Stamp & Die Card

Step 1: Stamp the Focal Point
Using the little bunny scene and the butterfly images from the Ears To Spring stamp set, stamp it at the bottom of an A2-size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) piece of white cardstock set horizontally using crisp black ink. Set aside to dry.

Before removing the stamps from your stamping positioning tool, go ahead and stamp the same images on a piece of masking paper. Make sure that the ink is dry before using the coordinating dies to cut out the images. You will need to fussy cut along the bottom of the bunny images around the grass.

Step 2: Create the Background
Once the ink is dry, place the mask over the stamped image on the cardstock and press down to secure all of the edges.

We want to add a subtle, sophisticated background texture. Take the stencil from the From Ink To Petal kit. Instead of integrating it with the letterpress image as intended, we are going to blend each stencil layer centered over the masked images. Lightly blend a pretty blue ink over the entire panel, making it darker around the stenciled images to give a nice sky. Gently remove the masking tape to reveal a gorgeous tulip background that adds tactile interest without overwhelming the focal point.

Trim the panel with a scalloped rectangle die, the one I use is 3 1/” x 4 3/4″.

Step 3: Die Cut and Assemble
Once your coloring is complete, trim the panel with a scalloped rectangle die, the one I use is 3 1/” x 4 3/4″. Adhere a color panel to a standard A2 card base. Pop your pretty scalloped bunny panel up in the center using foam adhesive for some added dimension.

Step 4: Add a Sentiment
Choose a sentiment from the Clear Stamp set—”Sending Sprintime Smiles” is a cute choice! Heat emboss it with iridescent copper embossing powder on a small strip of cardstock to bring out the peachy color of the flowers. Die-cut the sentiment with the coordinating die and layer it with a couple of extra die-cuts to make

Feb 26 Club Kits Card 2: The Press & Foil Card

A handmade greeting card with pink tulips, green leaves, and the text "Bloom with happiness this Spring" on the front.

Step 1: Press the Floral Image
Secure your From Ink To Petal press plate onto the chase of your BetterPress system. Ink the plate thoroughly with a black or dark gray BetterPress ink. Place a panel of cotton cardstock on the platen and run the sandwich through your die-cutting machine. The result should be a crisp, dark impression pressed deep into the paper.

Step 2: Add Color with Stencils
Here is where the magic happens. This month’s Press & Foil kit comes with a coordinating stencil! Align the stencil below your pressed image. Using blending brushes, apply soft dye inks through the stencil. Try a gradient of pinks and peaches for the petals, and a fresh teal green for the leaves. The stencil makes coloring these intricate lines incredibly fast and easy. Then, watercolor paint the pressed flowers and foliage using the same inks

Step 3: Heat Emboss the Sentiment
We need a bold greeting to balance the delicate florals. Grab a bold sentiment from the Ears To Spring Clear Stamp set. Stamp it directly onto a scrap of white cardstock, heat emboss it with Iridescent Copper Heat Embossing Powder. Use the coordinating die to cut out the sentiment.

Step 4: Finishing Touches
Trim the panel down slightly, maybe by 1/8th of an inch on all sides, and mount it onto a colored cardstock base that matches your ink blending (a soft peach would look lovely). Add a few clear enamel dots or sequins around the floral arrangement for a little sparkle if you like.

Feb 26 Club Kits Card 3: The Stencil Card

A pastel drawing of a rabbit made from green vines and pink flowers, centered on a white sheet with a peach-colored border.

Step 1: Secure and Blend
Fasten your A2 white cardstock panel to a low-tack tool, or if you don’t have one, you can tape it to your work surface. Place the Botanical Bunny stencil over the top and secure it with low-tack tape (like Best Ever Craft Tape) so it doesn’t shift.

Step 2: Ink Blending
Select three colors of distress oxide or dye ink—let’s go with a spring trio like pink and peach for the flowers. Then use three hues of teal to do the greenery. The open areas of the stencil will reveal a colorful bunny and botanical pattern against the white of the paper (or vice versa, depending on the stencil’s positive/negative).

Step 3: Add Texture (Optional)
If you want to step it up a notch, keep the stencil in place after inking. Spread a thin layer of translucent texture paste or glitter gel over the stencil. Carefully lift the stencil straight up to reveal a raised, sparkly pattern. Set this aside to dry completely—it usually takes about 20-30 minutes.

Step 4: Simple Sentiment
Because the background is so busy and colorful, keep the sentiment simple. A simple “Hello” die cut from black cardstock, or a white heat-embossed strip on black cardstock, will stand out perfectly. Adhere this to the center of the card. Or, you can make your card like mine and don’t add a sentiment at all.

Feb 26 Club Kits Card 4: The Large Die Card

A charming Spring Card Idea, this greeting card features a white rabbit with a flower crown and blue ribbon, plus "Happy Easter" at the bottom—perfect inspiration for your next Club Kits project!.

Finally, we have the showstopper: the Spring Specs Large Die of the Month. This kit features a large, trendy pair of glasses that you can dress up with florals and spring icons. It’s quirky, fun, and totally unique.

How to make the Large Die Card

Step 1: Die-cut the Elements
Run the bunny dies through your machine with white and pink cardstock. Then, use various scraps of colored cardstock to cut out the small flowers and leaves included in the set. Use the sentiment dies in the set to cut out “Happy Easter” from glitter cardstock.

Step 2: Assemble the Bunny
Glue the bunny elements together. Arrange the die-cut flowers around the top of her head. Use fine-tip glue or a wax pickup tool to handle these tiny pieces easily.

Step 3: Create the Background
For the background, use the Shady Leaves 3D Embossing Folder of the Month (if you have it) on a piece of teal topaz cardstock. This adds a subtle leafy texture that complements the floral specs perfectly. If you don’t have the embossing folder, a simple splatter of watercolor on white cardstock works great too.

Step 4: Final Assembly
Adhere the decorated bunny to the center of your card at a jaunty angle. You can add the tiny sentiment letters that say “Happy Easter!” at the bottom of the card. This card is sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face.
