Two Stunning Cards Featuring Layered Wildflower Dies

Instructions
- Begin by choosing wildflower dies from the collection, such as the thistles from the Layered Wildflowers and gardenias from the Layered Gardenia die set. To duplicate the cards seen here, use pinks and lavender for elegant blooms.
- Die-cut, ink blend, and assemble the flowers and leaves. To make them more realistic, add a touch of white to highlight where light would hit the petals, leaves, and stems. And, add darker colors to create dimension and shading.
- Die-cut a white A2-size card base with a large oval die just off the folded edge to create an oval card base. For help, read How to Make A Card Base.
- Use the large scalloped oval die from the collection and cut it from dark blue cardstock for the Thistle card or green for the gardenia card for a decorative touch.
- Add a lacy feel by embossing a pretty lattice design on a piece of vellum oval cut just about 1/4″ smaller than the scalloped oval on all sides.
- Layer the embossed vellum panels onto the scalloped ovals die-cut from color cardstock. Pop them up on the card base with foam strips to frame the design.
- Arrange your wildflowers in playful clusters in the centers of the embossed panels. Leave space to add a sentiment if you like.
- Complete the card with a few enamel dots, sequins, or a bow for a fun, finishing touch.
