12 Days of Stitchmas – Days 1 & 2

I introduced the Crafty Advent Calendar, the 12 Days of Stitchmas, and the Add-on kit for Stitchmas in DON’T MISS OUT ON THE 2023 CRAFTY ADVENT CALENDAR! last September. And, just like I expected, they sold out very quickly. But, even though you can’t get them anymore I thought it would be fun to share projects that I make with them. I’ve already posted a couple of the Advent Calendar Days:

And now, we’ll start taking a look at a couple of days from Stitchmas.

Stitchmas Day 1: Christmas Tree Ornament

For Day 1 we have this darling Christmas tree. And, the die set even comes with a die for adding a twine to hang it as an ornament!

Steps To Create The Christmas Tree Ornament

• Die-cut tree and ornament hanger pieces from light green cardstock
• Die-cut tinsel pieces from brushed gold cardstock
• Die-cut stars from white cardstock
• Stitch the tree pieces with dark green embroidery floss
• Assemble the tree with liquid glue
• Attach a hanger with gold twine

Stitchmas Day 2: Christmas Candles

The Day 2 dies are this lovely Christmas Candle set that includes not only the candles but also dies to cut out the large holly leaves and berries.

Steps to Create the Christmas Candles Card

• Die-cut oval background (the one I use isn’t available anymore but I’ve put one in the supply list that would be a good substitute) from dark navy cardstock
• Die-cut candles and shadow from white cardstock
• Die-cut flames from gold cardstock
• Die-cut holly from medium green cardstock
• Die-cut holly berries from bright red cardstock
• Stitch candles with light blue variegated embroidery floss
• Blend shadows around the bottom edges with a gold blending brush or colored pencil
• Stitch flames with gold metallic thread
• Assemble the candles, holly, and berries with liquid glue
• Attach the background oval centered on a white A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) card base with foam squares.
• Pop up the candle/holly assembly with foam squares
